Explore the vast realms of world generation with this new template data-pack that is availabe for everyone to modify and use to make their own creations.

This data-pack comes with 3 new biomes each with new features...

Common to all:

- Diamond block ore can be found in naturally generated stone
- The underground is composed of mainly gilded Blackstone so good luck mining
- No natural light exists
- Good luck respawning at points

the rest is for you to explore and see all the new features... make sure you post any cool screenshots when using this pack on my discord

When the world loads up run /reload to get sent into the new dimension... you may need to set your spawn though :\

I do wish you take the time to check this out and hopefully you can see what I've done and make your own creations based on it as long as proper credit is given!

better than the fire forest? I mean this is juts a world-gen example data-pack for people to create with & tinker... I have a full version of this with more biomes on my pmc mage

It's really cool that this is possible now, and very impressive you managed to figure out how to do this. Do you also know how custom/edited dimensions choose where to generate their ceiling? Can it be edited to be at 256? I've been trying to make a datapack to modify the Nether, but I don't understand how to raise the dimension's roof.

in the noise settings there should be a property called beckrock_floor_position and bedrock_ceiling_position... you will want to set them both to 0 for the nether and then in the dimension_type settings set the logcal height to 128 if you want to replicate the nether. If you wish to make it more like the overworked, you'd have to set the logical height to 256 if you wanted to keep the bedrock roof

Why would I want to set 'bedrock_ceiling_position' to 0?

Either way, thanks for the info, it should help a ton. What I'm trying to do is actually *edit* the Nether, by using a datapack to swap its dimension type to a custom "tall nether" version with a logical height and roof of 256.

ask minecraft why it has to be set to 0??? becuase that's how the nether works according to the files provided by slicedlime (mojang dev) as far as I can see... check for yourself: https://twitter.com/slicedlime/status/1288490213241688070
