AutoPlant Datapack Minecraft Data Pack

AutoPlant is a lightweight datapack that will attempt to place a plant after the item has existed for a while.

So when cutting trees, the dropped sapling items will turn into saplings again!


Features
- Plants will only grow where they can grow. So carrots won't grow on grass for example. (Because they require farmland)
- Only one item will be used when planting.
- Settings to configure the plant time.

Items supported:
- Saplings
- Seeds (Wheat, Potato, Carrot, Beetroot, Melon, Pumpkin, Sweet berry bush)
- Nether wart
- Grass, Fern
- Mushrooms
- All flowers types
- Nether plants

Settings
By default, the datapack tries to plant an item after 4 minutes.

If you want to change this, you can do this by typing /trigger AutoPlant
(no cheats/OP needed)

This will open the settings in your chat.
To change the setting, simply click on the [ - ] or [ + ] buttons with your cursor.

Compatibility
The latest version of AutoPlant works for Minecraft 1.16 and up.

Installation instructions
  1. Download the datapack
  2. Place the zip file inside the datapacks folder in your world
  3. Rejoin the world or use /reload
  4. Enjoy!

yes, because it only looks at the item, the player doesn't matter at all to the data pack :)

I think there is an issue with it on 1.17.1 where when i drop a sapling/seed it places one and leaves the one dropped on the ground essentially duplicating it. Is this intentional, and is there a fix for it? I love the plugin but it would be slightly OP if you could just dupe stuff. Thanks

Heya, is there a way to add saplings and stuff? Because I'm playing with mods and those saplings etc don't work

Yes. Go to the world you want to put it in, click edit, open the world folder, and dump the file into the datapack folder. Hope this helps!
