cant u just turn off mobgriefing? or is this for no cheats survival?

If I remember correctly, the MobGriefing gamerule also prevents some villagers' actions. At the beginning I made these "Anti-Grief" datapacks for those who wanted to disable the damage of a particular mob without disabling the damage of others.

I was using this on our 1.15.2 server without incident. I tried Xiuma's, but I did not like it. It basically rendered the creeper inert. It didn't damage structures or players. Players on my server had no reason to fear the creeper.

At least this data pack provides some interaction with the creeper (knockback) that can present a problem depending on where you are and serious damage can be experienced. Using this data pack I am aware that my structures are safe, but I may not be and I am OK with that.

I went back to using this datapack over Xiuma's.

Same here I started a hardcore world for my streaming an Xiuma's pack had no damage at all. This one is way better no structure griefing but still player damage.
