Every player will get 10 when they first join the world while this data pack is installed. Presents also have a 5% chance of dropping from hostile mobs. Hold them in your offhand to open them and get one of a variety of different items.

Yes you can keep the special items after it is removed. No item added requires code in the data pack other than what is in the loot table files. Uninstalling this data pack will mean that special items wont come from loot tables anymore, but you will still have them.
