so the emerald makes you blow up instead of being lucky, why? it doesnt seem like a very funny prank when you have keep inventory on and it just destroys everything at the spawn point :/

The emerald gives you a luck effect, which only affect fishing in vanilla. The fact that you blowed up is not related to this datapack.

Okay, so I've been working with the data pack, and it doesn't seem to work.



First, I played it in my realms world, where most other data packs work. Then I tried it single player with fabric mods enabled. Neither of these worked, so I tried it in vanilla single player world with no mods or other data packs, and it is not working.



What I'm wondering is that I'm playing Minecraft 1.18.1 rather than 1.18 could that cause it not to work at all?

So I think I found the problem. I feel dumb, lol.



This file has to be extracted into the data packs folder. I've found about 1 in 10 do, so I should have known by now to check sooner.



I checked and it's working, and bonus even in Realms!

What exactly don't work? Try to place a quartz or an emerald on offhand and then open inventory. You should see an active effect.

Do you use 1.17? It can be the issue here. It's really a very simple datapack, i tested it multiple times.
