How to install Minecraft Data Packs

This data pack displays information to each player when one of a few items are held in their main hand or off-hand. Each item and its associated information is as follows;
  • Compass: displays the players bearing
  • Clock: displays the current time in 24 hour format
  • Map: displays the players X, Y, and Z coordinates
  • Lead: displays the speed and jump height of the horse you're riding
This data pack would be most useful on a server where any of the information it provides is no longer visible on the F3 screen, or if you're looking for a way to get this information without all the other screen clutter of the F3 screen.

You can configure which tools work in which dimensions, as well as whether the game rule reducedDebugInfo is enabled on load, using the config file, which you can find at "data\extra_info\functions\config.mcfunction" within the zip file of the data pack.

Man, I love this pack! So useful and needed! Great ideia but unfortunately the action bar is largely used by other datapacks, I play with one that adds thrist and uses the action bar too so it conflicts, I have to choose between one or another. The boss bar would be a great replacement, could you add this functionality?





P.S.: You could show the current day in the clock and the biome in the map too!

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! Sadly, the boss bar is a lot more difficult to use than the action bar, due to the lack of dynamic name updating. For this reason, I won't be changing how this pack displays its information.

Oh, I didn't know that... That's kinda unfortunate but please consider adding current day to the clock the biome you're to the map. It would make the pack even better;

Oh, and the compass still works in The Nether and The End. I think it shouldn't like the clock and the map.

I made an account just to ask you what the horse values are in. I summoned the fastest horse in the game and it says it is 0.6 m/s (which would be less then a block per second), while a much slower horse is 1.1 m/s. Same thing with jump height. The best horse has a height of 1m, and the other horse is supposedly 3m. Assuming "m" is meant to mean meters, as in Minecraft blocks, I think something in the calculations is incorrect.

Thanks! This datapack is great and is the only one I have on in my survival world.

I've just tested it to see if I could reproduce what you've reported, and I'm unable to; the data pack works as intended in my vanilla client/server (higher numbers for better stats). I'm glad you're otherwise enjoying the data pack.
