Graves

A simple concept indeed: after death player inventory is placed into a Grave.
Additionally Graves show player's name, head and death time.
To retrieve the Graves content simply Sneak on it.

Now works with my mod Data Command Plus
Configure personal preferences of Graves using /trigger graveMode options:
  • show last death location
  • Teleport to Last Grave location
  • Graves merge/add your current inventory with your grave's inventory. --merge mode forces items back to their slots, --add mode stacks items but they are not restored back to their slots.
  • Graves inventory priority current/grave inventory controls which inventory should stay as is and the second one will be added on top of it
works with:
  • my other datapacks
  • in multiplayer
  • survival mode without cheats
  • gamerule keepInventory = false
  • gamerule instantRespawn = false
Requires:
  1. ResourcePack Language pack v2020-08-12 this pack contains every name,lore,texture for my datapacks
  2. fafik77 main.Lib(Google Drive) datapack (core)
  3. Data Command Plus (mod by fafik77 optional)
  4. (if playing with Custom Dimensions datapacks and mc version older then 1.20.1) Warp Portals v2020-08-12
Installation:
  • download this pack
  • download required files
  • put required files in place

Configuration Options
/function fafik77:graves/settings

publicGraves - can anyone collect the dead person's grave
restoreLevel - restores Exp Level
maxScanRange - determines how far should Graves check for a valid spot to be placed
restoreVanishingItems - yes with this you can even restore items that Did Vanish after your death
allowTeleportation - allows you to teleport to your last Grave, requires an Ender Pearl in inventory
  if your grave is in custom Dimension then the Teleportation will be reattempted using Warp Portals

block tag #fafik77:graves/replaceble controls which blocks Graves can consider as overwritable

no by default only you can open it.
there is an admin configuration option to make graves public

Hi, I recently installed your mod in order to test if it works on the chance I get it to work with my realms but every time I die, I lose my entire inventory when moving over the grave. Have I done something wrong to make this mistake?

hi joalcamo, i dont have dedicated server to test it, neither do i know the limitations of Realms, could you provide more details about this problem?

Note: datapacks are only for Java Minecraft. datapacks don't work on PMC/Bedrock or console edition.

you need to download this datapack (using the big Download button),
and you also need the "Requires:" 1 and 2 for this datapack to work,
all those links link to google drive from where you download the newest version of that file (the download button is in the top-right)
after downloading those 3 files you go to your resourcepacks folder and place the downloaded "Language Pack" in there and activate it (even if it says that this pack is not for this minecraft version) then go to your word name/datapacks folder and move there those 2 other downloaded .zip
