Fisherman+ is a data pack for 1.17-1.20 that aims to overhaul the fishing mechanic in Minecraft into a new, exciting gameplay element.

- A new crafting table used to craft fishing items

- New armor sets, including a new tier above Netherite
- An in-game sea encyclopedia to assist in the progression

is there a command to give data pack items too? cause if the smithing table crafting system won't work ill just make a villager trade for all the fishing rod crafting recipes
2. I guess the netherite fishing rod recipe outright breaks because of the change in smithing table, at this point I think I'll just remove the netherite fishing rod here soon.
also, whats the command to give the netherite fishing rod? ill just make a villager trade to obtain the custom rods at my world hub then

My family plays on a server and we've been working on datapacks together so occasionally I dive into other data packs to see how they work and see if we can improve them.
We removed the "unbreakable" from all the armor.
- If we want the armor to be unbreakable then we will get unbreaking or mending enchanted on the armor later. Having it be unbreakable just makes it so that when you fish up more of them then it feels wasteful and it makes it so that you never have to change that armor again with unbreaking or mending later which are late game progression things.
I modified the effects on all the armor. They previously were giving rank 2 of every effect (potion effects are 0 indexed so they start at rank 0 == 1)
I made an assumption that you were planning on making all the armor into "sets" as right now the chest piece is the only thing that makes the armor get an effect. So if you have the entire set on then you get the effects for Jade and Diver armor.
We wanted the shark armor to have a bit more flavor, so we did the following.
- Shark armor works only if you have the shark head on and each individual piece gives a potion effect. Besides, conduit power is incredibly powerful!
- The boots give dolphins grace
- The chest gives water breathing
- and the legs give... night vision... (this one was admittedly underwhelming because it doesn't fit, but it makes it more like the conduit power)
