Newly-placed stonecutters will "mine" blocks above them. This unlocks new Redstone farming possibilities like an explosion-free cobblestone machine, wood-mining machine, basalt machine, and more!


Things to keep in mind:
    • Stonecutters mine blocks!
    • They can't break bedrock or obsidian.
    • Only new stonecutters can mine blocks -- old ones work normally
    • To prevent duping, stonecutters are removed in certain circumstances (now rarer thanks to a recent update)
    • when pushed by a piston, the stonecutter keeps its mining ability thanks to a recent update

-Works with pistons
-Gindcutters can now be placed next to each other more easily
-Grindcutters make a noise and particle to show that they have been placed successfully.
-On rare occasions when they are not placed successfully, try again from a different angle.

does it work with a cobble generator like placing the stonecutter under the cobble generator?

Hello! For some reason the datapack doesnt work on my world. Its on 1.16.5. How do i fix it?

I'm sorry to hear that. Sometimes you just need to mine and replace the stonecutter, since it fails to work about 1 time out of 50. If it still doesn't work, try deactivating any other datapacks that you might be running. Also, if you used the version from GitHub, try the version directly from PMC. Hope this helps

This is amaizing exactly what I always needed. But for a little bit more "fair" could take more time to break the blocks?, and which are the circumstnaces in which are deleted?

As per your suggestion, I made a second version where it takes 1 second to break each block!

Thank you for your suggestion!

Each stonecutter has an invisible armor stand inside it, and if there are two of these invisible armor stands within a 1 block distance of each other it removes nearby stonecutters to prevent duping.

Oh, now I understand thanks, this is an extremly good complement for other datapacks which make dange caused by the stonecutter
