Required Resource Pack

Brown Bears (Datapack and Texture Pack) [1.16+]
This datapack will add naturally spawning Brown / Grizzly bears to your worlds in Minecraft! All you need is my datapack and my resource pack. This does not replace any mobs!
✅ Works with and without Optifine and other mods
✅ Spawns naturally
✅ Doesn't replace any mobs or items
✅ No lag!
Why is the brown bear displaying as a floating flint? This is most likely because you haven't applied the resource pack. If you are sure that you have, try hitting F3 + T to reload the textures (sometimes FN + F3 + T on laptops).
Why are they not spawning in my world? If you have a mob spawning set to false, you must set it to true for it to work. Also, try not to mess with files that much in the folders unless you know what you are doing, as this might mess things up. Remember, you can always try /function bears:debug if you need help.
When they spawn, they unlink from the models and the models just sit there. This is an error which I have only came across on 'Single Biome' worlds, putting this on a normal world should fix it.
If you find any bugs or have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments and I will try to help you. But for now, enjoy this creation!

How to find or obtain 🔎
These brown bears can be found in the Taiga and the Jungle biomes. One problem here is that Cows no longer spawn in these biomes, but they spawn pretty much everywhere else so you don't need to worry about that. If you are struggling to find them then you can run /function bears:debug

What they drop 🐟
Because brown bears eat salmon in the wild, that is what they drop upon death in my datapack. They can drop from 1-3 when they are killed.
