This datapack makes it so that when you defeat someone, you get one of their hearts! One heart is taken from the person you defeated and transferred over to you. Mobs do not give you hearts, and if you do not die to a player you will not loose any.

Optional version includes craftable hearts.

Use /function heartswap:display_hearts_on to display player's hearts.

Please report any bugs here and I will fix them as soon as possible.



Edit: I came up with this idea on my own only to find the Lifesteal SMP Youtube videos a few days later...

  • Hearts are no longer displayed by default, use /function heartswap:display_hearts_on to display them.

Can u pls help? I put datapack into my server on aternos and it says its enebled but hearts won't go when I die or use command. Some advice?

Make sure the datapack is working with /reload. If not, you may have the datapack in the wrong folder.

it was working the whole time but I tested it alone so I didnt lose any hearts, but what is crafting recipe

The crafting recipe is shown in the above image. Make sure you downloaded the version with heart crafting.

The /scoreboard players remove <username> PlayerHearts 2 command is not working it just said the name and number but does not actually effect the player's hearts for somereason

It probably did work. This datapack uses attributes to change player's hearts, which take a while to update. You will need to wait a while for the hearts to update or take a little damage or heal to update them.

Hey got a question lets say I kill a guy and it was his final heart and hes in spectator is their a way to revive him as i kinda want that, thanks.
