Required Resource Pack
3
A ton of mobs have stolen and hidden Santa's decorations, hats, and treats! Use Sleigh Bells (by sneaking) to make nearby mobs reveal these stolen goods. There are five categories of mobs
Illagers (Evokers, Illusioners, Pillager, Vindicator, Zombie Villager)
Nether (Piglin, Piglin Brute, Zombified Piglin, Wither Skeleton)
Skeletons (Skeleton, Stray, Wither Skeleton)
Zombies (Drowned, Husk, Zombie, Zombie Villager, Zombified Piglin)
Villagers (Villager, Wandering Trader)
Each category of mob has a unique set of hats and decorations you can obtain from them. You may have noticed some mobs appear in multiple categories, meaning they can pool hats from multiple categories. Hats have a 50% drop chance, except for hats on villagers which have a 0% drop chance.
Spare hats and decorations can be sold back to Jingly for ornaments, which can in turn be used to buy other decorations and treats.
On my server we had a group event introducing the pack, and we plan on having a secondary event in a few weeks where we all decorate. I encourage you to do the same!
NOTES:
To decorate your world you MUST place these items into an item frame. This pack pairs great with Armor Statues from vanillatweaks.net!
Hats do not make a mob permanent (unless the hat is picked up by them off the ground, or given to them by a dispenser).
Turning a mob invisible with a potion will make them take the hat off (in the event you make a villager trading hall full of christmas villagers and want them to remove their hat come January).
This pack adds 24 Christmas hats, 5 cookie variants, 5 steak variants, and 5 golden carrot variants, as well as 6 new items that will help you bring a little holiday cheer to the world.
To start, an operator will need to run the command `/function festive:summon_villager`
This villager has a ton of custom trades! The first is a book that explains the datapack at a high level,
the next 6 are for sleigh bells. Sleigh bells come in 6 variants (all cosmetic, they all do the same thing. Yes, there is a Netherite Sleigh Bell for the overachievers/completionists, but it doesn't do anything that the other sleigh bells cannot do.)
Server owners: If you do not have a custom resource pack on your world already, feel free to use the below in your server.properties file
resource-pack=download.mc-packs.net/pack/1f2bec23c1a6208132a4258715acf9c46c9d8789.zip
resource-pack-sha1=1f2bec23c1a6208132a4258715acf9c46c9d8789
If you do already have a server resource pack you are welcome to modify the pack into your own server resource packs if you wish, but please note functionality may break!
You are NOT allowed to distribute any assets in this resource pack in a new resource pack outside of your server.properties file.
In the event you wish to uninstall this, just remove the datapack & resource pack from your files. There are no scoreboards to uninstall in game. Doing so will leave broken item textures in your world though.
