About the pack
Magic Scrolls adds a new system similar to enchanting. You can find two types of Scrolls from naturally generated chests. One type is tan, which only applies to mobs. The other type, the green Scroll, applies only to players. These Scrolls give permanent potion effects to the applied mob/player. There are 5 types of effects for the tan Scrolls: Regen, Strength, Speed, Resistance, and Fire Resistance. The green Scrolls have those same effects, but has a 6th effect, Leaping, as well.
How it works
The Mob Scrolls, the tan Scrolls, can be used on a select few mobs. In order to use a Mob Scroll, you must throw the Scroll onto the mob you wish to give the effect. This will consume the Scroll. The mobs that can be effected by a Scroll are: Wolves, Foxes, Iron Golems, Snow Golems, Villagers, Horses, Skeleton Horses, and Striders. Note that not all of the effects apply to these mobs. For instance, Villagers, Snow Golems, and Horses can't have the Strength Scrolls, since they can't deal damage. The Player Scrolls, the tan Scrolls, work by throwing the scroll at your feet to apply the effect to yourself, or by walking across it while it is on the ground. All of the Scroll effects can be removed from a player if they type /trigger scroll_clearself . Likewise, you can do /trigger scrolls_clearmob to get a red Scroll. This red Scroll can be thrown on any mob that has had a Scroll used on it previously to remove the effects.
