Use Minecraft version 1.18.2 / 1.19 to avoid errors. Install the datapack and resource pack from the downloadable .zip file, enter your world and type /reload, if you can see a message in chat you are golden!
Manta Rays will spawn naturally in your world, they are about twice as rare as dolphins and don't have any loot, so spare them from your wrath! There is a special manta ray that does have loot tho, it's called the treasure manta and you'll recognize it the moment you see it :)
