ok, so first, you are going to have to make the datapack zip file a normal folder. if you are on Windows, right-click on the datapack zip file, and hit the "extract all" button. If you are on Mac, you should "just have to double click it. Once it is done, you can open the normal folder and inside you will see 3 files: "pack.mcmeta," "pack.png," and the "data" folder. go inside the data folder, and there will be a "minecraft" folder. go in there as well and you will see the "loot tables" folder. go inside it, and you will see two folders: "chests," and "entities." you can now choose wether you want to change the chest or mob loot chance. i would do mobs first because the chests are more complicated. now once in the entities folder, you will see all the different mobs that drop totems of undying. axolotl, bee, bat, etc, all in .json files. now you will want to open these .json files with a text editor so that you can change, and save the edits you have made. once one of the of the files is open (i will use the axolotl as my example loot table), you will see many confusing words and marks, do not touch any of these. at all, because it will mess up the loot table, and it wont work any more. what you do want to look for that you can touch and change, are the "weight": 85 and "weight": 15 lines. don't touch the weight part, but the numbers is the drop chance. eg, the totem has a 15% chance to drop, and an 85% chance to drop nothing. you can change the numbers to whatever you want as long as the final result equals no more than 100%. if you wanted, you could make the 15 a 30. but you would have to turn the 85 to a 70.or if you wanted the animal to always drop the totem, change the 15 to 100, and the 85 to 0. once you are satisfied with your drop chance, save the file, and move on to the next! now for the mobs that drop more than one item, the same rules apply. you will have to change all 3-4 items it can drop, to have drop chances that equal no more than 100. so a guardian for example. raw cod has a 50% chance to drop, prismarine shards have a 35% chance to drop, and the totem has a 15% chance to drop. if you wanted the totem to have a 50% drop chance, you could make the totem 50, the cod 35, and the prismarine shards, 15. i will warn you, some of the loot tables will look and seem more confusing than others, but there will be a line that says "chance" near the bottom on some of them. that is what you would change. i hope this was helpful, and if not, let me know, and i can make a datapack with increased drop chances and post it for you.
