Summary
This datapack notifies you every ingame day to let you know how long you have played. It also comes with a fancy animation.
Warning about /time set
This usually should not be a problem if you are playing without cheats enabled.
If you use /time set to manipulate time (for example: /time set 0 to skip nights) this will modify the timer too. Since this datapack depends on the /time query command to detect ingame time, it is going to reset with the usage of /time set 0.
If you want to skip nights with this datapack staying intact, consider using /time add 12000.
This would also be a good habit without this datapack installed as it doesn't reset ingame time and therefore keeps the local difficulty on its current value.
Settings the day counter to a specific number
You might want to change the number the datapack is displaying for a variety of reasons, including accidental usage of the /time set command. Luckily, this is very straight forward to do:
/time set <number of days - 1>d
For example, if you want to change the number of days to day 80, you would use: /time set 79d
Hint: If you set the number of days to a lower value than the current day (for example jumping from day 10 to day 5), the message will not show up for the first time. This is expected behaviour and does not break the datapack. You could avoid this by first setting the time to day 4 and then jump to day 5.
READ THIS IF YOU WANT TO USE THIS DATAPCK IN 1.20 OR OLDER
Since Mojang changed the name “functions” in Minecraft datapacks to “function” in 1.21, this datapack is not compatible with older versions. You can avoid this incompatibility by following these steps:
- Extract the datapack to the datapacks folder of your world (DON'T USE THE .ZIP-FOLDER FOR THIS!)
- Go to the path /datapack-name/data/minecraft/tags/ and rename the folder named "function" to "functions"
- Go to every other folder in the /datapack-name/data/ directory and rename every folder there named "function" to "functions"
- The datapack should now work for versions 1.20 and lower

In your case the command should be (79*24.000):
/time set 1896000
By executing any /time set command, the timer can change. In case of /time set 0, it completely resets to day 1. That may have been your accident, I will change the description to display a warning about that in the future.
Edit: I added a section to the description on how this issue is caused and how to fix it. Thank you for your comment!
Yes, you could also use this command, which is way easier:
/time set 79d
For some reason Microsoft decided that the name for the "functions"-Folder should now be "function", which breaks every datapack ever.
I kept the original version for anyone wanting to play this in 1.20-1.13 but you can get the updated version through MediaFire.
