Minecraft: Ores and Alloys
by Lasercraft32
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This data pack adds over 12 new types of materials, 17 new armor and tool sets,
and completely rework's Minecraft's ore progression! Adds new shields, bows, crossbows,
horse armor, trim materials, armored elytras, and even a whole new weapon type: The Hammer!
(And so much more!)
I've been working on this for a while now, and its not quite as perfect as I hoped,
but I figured I might as well upload it now... Otherwise I'd keep putting it off
and end up never getting around to it.
[Progression Chart]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
!!!IMPORTANT NOTES!!
This pack is designed for survival mode first and foremost!
Items that appear in the creative menu DO NOT have any components or nbt data!
All the spawn eggs and command blocks that have been retextured still function normally,
and in order to get the materials you have to do so using crafting recipes!
This data pack is NOT compatible with other worldgen data packs such as Terralith.
Any data packs that alter vanilla chest loot tables won't work either. In general,
this pack was not designed to function with other packs, use at your own risk.
The data pack also isn't really compatible with most custom item data packs,
and NO I don't plan on adding any support for mods. If you want to use other people's
mods with this, don't come to me if it doesn't work. The pack is made for vanilla first and foremost.
I tried to make it as close to vanilla as possible, so all of the data pack's recipes
can be found in the crafting recipe book (with the exception of the smithing table).
The advancements and recipe book should hopefully help you to figure out how
to craft everything properly.
All the armor types use Armor Trims to get the proper textures. Because most of them
are leather armor, I tried to get the dye color to match as close as possible so you can still
add trims to them... But just be aware that they won't look too pretty (and some armor sets,
mainly Soul Tourmaline, Rose Gold, and Pink Diamond, are NOT leather armor).
I also had to remove the trims from the item texture because there were too many to deal with.
The Hammer is a debug stick... Because of this, there's a weird bug that prevents it from
letting you mine blocks with it. It also doesn't lose durability when you hit things with it...
Despite it being intended to function as a weapon. I couldn't think of any way to fix this. :(
I haven't tested in multiplayer, but it should work properly.
The trailer has outdated textures.
Doesn't support all languages, so be aware that some items will not be named properly
depending on what language you are using.
If you use the Totem of Keeping when "Keep Inventory" is turned on, then dying will cause
it to be turned off, due to the way it was implemented (You have been warned).
I'm sorry if it ends up feeling too sloppy... I tried. This is mostly just to test how much
is actually possible using data packs alone (it doesn't even require Optifine!) I didn't
do a good job of explaining everything... But I'm just tired of working on this.
If you have any questions just ask.

I haven't updated to newer versions because MOJANG decided it was a good idea to change how everything works, breaking everything I've made. Updating it means remaking the entire pack completely from scratch, so I haven't done it yet. I'm busy with other things. :/
I get that you like the data pack (I appreciate it) but just give me a break please.
- Intensity is basically Density but for the Hammer... It boosts the effect of Impact.
- Eruption is another Hammer-exclusive enchant. It creates an explosion effect when you successfully land a Hammer attack.
- Burst is a bow enchantment that causes arrows to spawn a wind charge when they hit things (mainly used for the Breeze Bow and Breeze Crossbow) though it can be rarely obtained as a treasure enchant in Trial Chambers.
- Unearth is a Brush exclusive enchantment that increases your luck (and yes, it works on loot chests too).
- Channeling can be applied to Tridents, Hammers, and Maces, and will now summon a lightning strike when you land a melee hit while its raining (it also makes you immune to lightning damage while holding it), in addition to its normal Trident abilities.
- I also made it so that Bows and Crossbows can both use Multishot, Power, Flame, and Punch.
- Fire Aspect can now be applied to tools, which lets it autosmelt block drops when you mine with it (though it conflicts with Fortune and Silk Touch).
