How to install Minecraft Data Packs

The datapack is made for version 1.14.x/1.15.x, there are no plans to update it to 1.16.x or newer

This datapack allows the user to quickly and easily place particles in their world.
To get the book used to place the particles:
-install the datapack
-run /reload in your world
-run /function custom:setup (very important!!)
-craft the book (or run /function custom:give )
-enjoy!
Crafting:
-place a dropper
-stand on the dropper
-place 8 blaze powders and a book as shown in the gallery
## more particles may be added in the future (be sure to write in the comments any suggestion) ##

I have a question: what makes this datapack unique compared to just working directly with the commands and figuring each particle out?

actually, nothing...it just makes it easier for people who dont know how to use commands. But you could say the same for every datapack ever...you could just reverse-engineer it and make it by yourself...

Also, some could consider this pack "less cheaty" to use in survival than just using command blocks

I cant get it to work i installed it right and used the reload command but it doesnt show up. Is there any special trick to make it work?

Did you unzip the file in the .minecraft/saves/[world_name]/datapacks folder correctly?
