A simple datapack that allows players to plate their elytra with a metal chestplate, enhancing the armor and armor thoughness of the elytra. You get half the armor and armor thoughness value of the chestplate you use.

To craft a plated elytra, drop a slime ball, a metal chestplate and an elytra on top of an anvil. As of now, enchantments are not being transferred. This feature in being worked on right now though.

The resourcepack is required to display the item names and texture icons correctly!!!

The download link will always provide the newest version available (currently for 1.16+). If you want to download older versions, please visit the GitHub page and download the datapack from there.

Works with 1.16.x (tested). I don't see any particular reason why this shouldn't work with the 20w46a snapshot as well. Just use the same zip file. If you get a warning message that the datapack version is older, just ignore it. It probably works with older versions as well, though I haven't tested it myself.

Does the netherite one burn in lava? want this for my Minecraft serve but it needs to meet at least that requirement to be added.

I haven't tested it. But IIRC the only thing that doesn't burn in lava are items made up of the `netherite` material. Materials are set inside the game's code. Meaning that datapacks can't change that. The only items that have that material are the original netherite items (armor, chest plate, boots and leggings).

The only way to get that effect would be to use mods.

Can the plated elytras be repaired with phantom membrane?

As far as I know, anvils keep NBT data on the item itself and the armor and toughness values uses NBT to apply them to the player. It should work, if not, feel free to open an issue on the GitHub repository.

If I wanted to get this data pack to work for 1.15.2 how would I do that or would it be too difficult?

Did you try to just use it in 1.15.2? It might just work. At least I can't think of something that would make it not work in 1.15.2. The changes made shouldn't affect this pack.

If you happen to playtest it on 1.15.2, let me know if it works and I'll add the version as supported.
