Well here we go. Thought I'd be doing the Legendary Sword next, but after reading the first two volumes of The Reprise of the Spear Hero I decided to make Motoyasu's weapon: The Legendary Spear.

Like my Shield Hero datapack you get started by giving yourself the tag spear:



/tag @s add spear

Unlock new spears by dropping materials in slot 9 of you inventory (upper left slot). If you're in survival and have the resource pack on, there'll be an icon indicating the proper slot. Listed below are the currently implemented spears and their material requirements:

• Rope Spear
  

    Unlock: String
    Skill: Air Strike Javelin
    Skill Cost: 40 SP
    

• Siderite Spear  

    Unlock: Conduit
    Skill: Shooting Star Spear
    Skill Cost: 60 SP
  

• Iron Spear

    Unlock: Iron Ingot
    Skill: Chaos Spear
    Skill Cost: 20 SP

• Nue (Lightning) Spear

    Unlock: Blaze Rod
    Skill: Lightning Spear
    Skill Cost: 60 SP

• Dragon Hourglass Sand Spear

    Unlock: Redstone
    Skill: Portal Spear
    Skill Cost: 50 SP
    

The Base Spear can also be thrown by right clicking. This costs no SP but it takes two seconds to return should you miss.

To switch Spears, just drop your current one and click on one of the prompts in chat.


Commands:

/trigger status - Check your currently equipped spear's proficiency

/trigger check_energy - Check your total weapon energy points
/trigger take_energy - Convert the selected spear’s proficiency to energy points
/trigger give_energy - Convert energy points into spear proficiency
/trigger smelt - Attempt to smelt with the ore in your offhand (See power-up description below)
/trigger absorb - Feed any available materials into the Spear to unlock different forms (No more upper right slot)


Spears gain 1 proficiency point every 1.5 minutes they're equipped. After reaching a proficiency of 100 you need to spend weapon energy points to raise the weapon's level.

Spear rarity rises as you gain more proficiency. The effects and stats of the spears increase as well.



The rarity levels:

C (Common) (0-99 Proficiency)

UC (Uncommon) (100-199 Proficiency)
R (Rare) (200-299 Proficiency)

SR (Super Rare) (300-499 Proficiency)

AR (Artifact) (500+ Proficiency)


**NEW** Item Enchant / Smelting System

The Spear Hero's power-up method. Hold an ore in your offhand and the spear in your mainhand. Execute the command:
/trigger smelt

NOTICE: This upgrade can fail! If it fails, the item enchantment level is set to zero. Whether the smelt is a success or not, your ore will be consumed.

Smelt Level Requirements:

Level 1 - Iron Ingot

Level 2 - Quartz
Level 3 - Diamond
Level 4 - Heart Of The Sea

Level 5 - Nether Star

Each Smelt Has A 50/50 Chance Of Succeeding. If It Fails At Any Point You Go Back To Level 0.

As your smelt level increases, the stats of your weapon will also increase.

SP and skills can WILL malfunction in multiplayer if multiple people are the same hero (go figure!)
