So, recently I've been reading up on Japanese mythology and folklore. This is mostly because of anime but that's not important, anyhow. I started reading and learned about the Japanese dragons or Nihon no ryū. Most Japanese dragon myths amalgamate native legends with imported stories about dragons from China, Korea and the Indian subcontinent. Their dragon style was heavily influenced by Chinese dragons and most Japanese ones are water deities associated with rainfall and bodies of water, and are typically depicted as large, wingless, serpentine creatures with clawed feet.

I found all this to be super interesting and was wondering why no one had ever made an Origin based on these kinds of dragons, at least not one that I could find. I went and made an Origin based on this exact concept minus the water element as I am working on a specific Dragon Origin also based on Japanese mythology that will explore that concept.

Ryū (龍, 竜, 隆, りゅう, リュウ, Ryū) is a Japanese masculine given name and family name meaning "dragon". So, yes. Technically speaking, the name of this Origin is just Dragon. Enjoy! :))

- Sparkly: Your scales reflect in the light.

- Healing Potions: You're only used to potions that cause damage; healing potions won't affect you.
- Heavy Scales: You struggle to stay afloat when your health or hunger is too low, or when you're wearing heavy armor.
