    Storage+ is a data pack that adds a barrel that can be expanded almost infinitely.
    It also saves contents when broken, just like a shulker box.


    Installation
    1) Choose your world in game > Edit > Open World Folder
    2) Open datapacks folder in the opened window.
    3) Copy the downloaded data pack file (storage-plus-v1-1.zip) into this folder.
    4) Join the world and run /reload command.
    5) Enjoy!

    • If you are looking for the previous versions, see Older Versions section below.

    • It is recommended to use the data pack with the attached resource pack. The data pack will still work. However, the items added by the data pack will look different from what it is supposed to.


    How to obtain Storage+ Barrel
    1) Place down 5 redstone blocks like shown in the video below.
    2) Put water at the center of the blocks.
    3) Throw a barrel into the water to convert it into a Storage+ Barrel.

    How to upgrade Storage+ Barrel
    • First level of the barrel only stores 24 stacks of items. Upgrade is required to store more items.
    • Hover over the upgrade button to see the the required items to upgrade.
    • Click the button to upgrade. Required items will be consumed from the player inventory.
    • There is currently no limit of upgrades.

    Page 2: Copper Ingot 8x
    Page 3: Iron Ingot 8x
    Page 4: Gold Ingot 8x
    Page 5: Emerald 8x
    Page 6: Block of Amethyst 8x
    Page 7: Diamond 8x
    Page 8: Netherite Ingot 1x
    Page 9+: Nether Star 1x


    Storage+ Barrel Pages and Navigation
    • When upgrade is successful, a new page to put items in will be added at the bottom of the page list.
    • Use Page Down/Page Up buttons to navigate through pages.
    • Shift click Page Down/Page Up buttons to skip through many pages at once.

    Performance and Compatibility
    • This data pack has no performance and optimization issues. The difference in tick times is not even noticeable.

    • Currently, there isn't any known compatibility issue.


    Customization
    Storage+ is a highly customizable data pack. You can adjust following (Requires permissions):

    •     The amount of pages that will be skipped with shift clicking;

    /scoreboard players set %shift_page_down sp_settings 5
    (Sets the amount of pages that will be skipped by shifting clicking Page Down button to 5.)

    /scoreboard players set %shift_page_up sp_settings 5
    (Sets the amount of pages that will be skipped by shifting clicking Page Up button to 5.)


    • The required items to upgrade;

    1) Edit data/storageplus/item_modifiers/page_display/upgrade_button.json file to change the text that will be displayed on upgrade button for each level of upgrade.

    2) Edit page files in data/storageplus/predicates/upgrade_barrel folder that checks player inventory for correct items to upgrade.

    3) Edit page files in data/storageplus/functions/barrel/upgrade/pages folder that determine which items will be cleared from player inventory.


    • Required blocks to build the obtain structure;

    1) Side blocks (Redstone Block by default): Edit data/storageplus/tags/blocks/obtain/side_blocks.json file.
    2) Center block (Water by default): Edit data/storageplus/tags/blocks/obtain/center_block.json file.


    Hopper and Hopper Minecart Interactions
    • You can easily transfer items into a Storage+ Barrel with hoppers and hopper minecarts. However, item output is disabled for hoppers and hopper minecarts to prevent item duplication.


    Uninstallation
    Run this command to uninstall the data pack:
    /function storageplus:uninstall

    • It is recommended to destroy Storage+ Barrels before the uninstallation.

    I'm able to get the barrel in 1.20.1, but upgrade doesn't do anything. Wonder what they changed so that specific function broke

    Why is the datapack discontinued? It was really useful. How difficult would it be to update to 1.20.1?

    It is not hard to update. I just have many data packs now that I can't keep them up to date anymore. I try to prioritize the ones that get more use.

    If you want, you can update it yourself if you have decent datapack knowledge.

    Since I use the Storage+ not only for Regular Versions, but also for Beta-Versions, I had to found out I'm not able to Upgrade the Barrel itself, neither If I have the Mats or not. It doesnt make a Sound either

    Dude Ive been playing with this on a server and something Ive noticed is that if you continuously break and place the barrel, it sometimes dupes the items in a certain page

    Hello I noticed that when connecting the barrel to a hopper or any other automatic input it will stop when a page fills up and not automatically fill the next page if upgraded. I have to manually hit the page down or page up button before the hoppers will continue inserting items. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks,

    Hi! One of my villagers tried to use the barrel as a workstation and after I broke the barrel, it gave me the "up arrow" that was inside the barrel instead of the barrel itself and even if I place it back down, I can't get the barrel with all of my stuff in it back. So now I just have the wooden miniblock in my inventory.
