Strange Plants is a datapack that adds in a few new plants, the Strange Plant, the blue star, and the moss bloom. In future updates, more plants and features will be added.

How to obtain the strange seeds to grow the strange plants you need to break grass until you get some. For you technical people out there, you need to break exactly 1000 grass. This number used to be 100, but strange plants are the most efficient plants added by strange plants, so I decided to make them harder to get. When planted in farmland, they will grow. When fully grown, indicated by particles, they can be harvested for 2 strange seeds and one strange berries.

How to obtain moss bloom seeds to grow moss bloom plants is simple enough. You just need to drop one mossy cobblestone, one melon seeds, and one nether wart on the ground together to get 4 moss bloom seeds and one cobblestone. Alternatively, you could also craft moss bloom seeds with one moss bloom, one melon slice, and one mossy cobblestone to get 7 seeds and one cobblestone. Moss blooms are an interesting plant, as they have to be planted in cobblestone or mossy cobblestone, and at their final stage will change any cobblestone under them into a mossy cobblestone. They are most interesting because of how they get harvested. If it looks full grown and has particles all around it, then it isn't ready yet. When it becomes a mob and tries to eat you, then it's harvestable. To harvest, kill the moss bloom mob, and it will drop one moss bloom and one mossy cobblestone. Moss blooms are used to make moss apples, by dropping one moss bloom on the ground with 2 apples to get 2 moss apples. Moss apples are pretty much pumpkin pies.

How to get blue star seeds is kind of complicated, and blue stars don't have a lot of function right now. In order to get some blue star seeds, you must drop a blue dye on a white tulip. This will create a strange orb over the tulip. Now, throw a bottle of enchanting at the orb (keep in mind, this is pretty hard) and then the flower will break, dropping one blue star seed. after planting these blue star seeds, in grass only, they will start to grow. They are done when they have a big flower. when harvested, they will drop 2 blue star seeds, and 7 blue star pollen. Blue star pollen is basically just bone meal, but when thrown one at a time on a plant from strange plants, it will accelerate the growth of that plant by 500 ticks.

There are also several item that you need commands to get. these items are unfinished and will be available in future updates.
