I'm sure nobody who has joined any version of Minecraft since 2017 even knows what the Nether Reactor was. (Except the many who read the wiki, so ignore that first statement). I joined in 2014, when the nether reactor still existed in Pocket Edition (which I actually only ever played once, before getting Java Edition, with a friend, on his other account). Anyway, this structure served as a substitute for the nether, which was not implemented in PE at the time. I thought it was a really cool feature, and now, 3 years after its removal from PE, I present a datapack adding it ...to MCJE. Deal with it.
Lite version includes only the nether reactor, see below.
Place zip in datapack folder to use.

1: The best release candidate snapshot in the snapshot channel will be released on the day of the 1.16 release as Nether Reactor Returns 1.3.
2: A 'lite' version will be released, containing just the nether reactor(plain) and will be reverse compatible to 1.13.
3. Polling will be held for release candidates to determine stability and content happiness.
4. 1.4 snapshots will start at least two weeks after the release of 1.3
