ABOUT / NEWS

ZealotCraft is a multiplayer friendly RPG expansion for Minecraft that adds 6 new classes, a grappling hook, throwables explosives and traps with different effects, alongside some gameplay changes/additions. Future updates are going to add challenges, bounties, and more!

Resource pack is now on version 2 - update if you haven't yet!

Installing on a world with an old build? - READ ME QUICK!
If you're installing to a world with a build before BETA 1.5 remove 'scoreboard.dat' in the data folder of your save or remove the objectives 'evade' and 'sneakTime' in-game then do '/reload'. Don't remove evade again after the reload.

Future releases past Beta will have automatic updates if necessary.


GAMEPLAY ADDITIONS


● Heartbeat sound effect when health is low.
● Players have blood effects (will be added to other mobs with different colours if not removed).
● Jumping on spiders and silverfish will crush and damage them.
● When you have 1 heart left your vision goes dark (will likely be removed in the future)
● Dropped saplings replant themselves
● Having a clock in your inventory will show the in-game day of the week and current time on your HUD
● Having a compass in your inventory will show your coordinates and the direction you're facing on your HUD
● Players can pick up arrows from any source by crouching near one, this also will disarm their class effects



CLASSES

ASSASSIN
scoreboard players set @s class 1

ATTACK 1 | Sword Throw:
Dropping your sword will send it hurtling towards enemies (unless crouching or facing up). Upon hitting an enemy it will return. If your food bar is half or less you regain half a hunger point on hit. Crouch next to it on the ground to pick it up, or evade/teleport to return it more quickly.

ATTACK 2 | Smoke Arrows: Arrows will create a toxic smoke cloud that disorients and poisons your enemies. Allies gain a burst of speed and invisibility after moving through it.

SUPPORT 1 | Cloak: Sprinting, wallrunning, evading, teleporting, or crouching in dark areas, will make you invisible for a short time.
SUPPORT 2 | Soulsteal: Killing enemies will refill your hunger bar. If your hunger bar is more than half, killing enemies will grant health.

MOBILITY |
Slide/Crawl: After sprinting, crouching will give a short burst of speed. Slide into 1 block gaps to crawl under them.
Wallrun: Sprinting next to a wall allows you to cling next to it. Crouching and looking up or down will allow you to scale the wall.
Agile: Increased speed and jump height while sprinting.
Evade: Crouching after walking in any direction will give a short burst speed.
Boost: After jumping, crouch to give a short burst of levitation.
Teleport: After boosting, crouch again to teleport a couple blocks forward in the direction you're facing.
MYSTIC
scoreboard players set @s class 2

ATTACK 1 | Float Hit:
Hitting an enemy while crouching or sprinting will make them levitate.
ATTACK 2 | Fireball: After a full slide a fireball will be summoned at your location. It will stay with you while crouching or in the air.

SUPPORT 1 | Empowering Rift: Dropping your sword will impale it into the ground and create a rift that heals and grants resistance and strength to you and allies.
SUPPORT 2 | Soul Beacon: Your empowering rift will act as a temporary respawn point while active.

MOBILITY |
Slide/Crawl:
After sprinting, crouching will give a short burst of speed. Slide into 1 block gaps to crawl under them.
Clamber:
Crouching next to the top of walls will let you climb up them.
Evade:
Crouching after walking in any direction will give a short burst speed.
Hover:
While in the air, sprinting will let you glide down slowly and will keep you suspended in the air when you're 2 blocks above the ground.
Teleport:
Crouching after jumping will teleport you a couple blocks forward in the direction you're facing.
WARRIOR
scoreboard players set @s class 3

ATTACK 1 | Impact:
Running into enemies or falling from heights will impact enemies and damage them.
ATTACK 2 | Empowered: Kills grant increasingly levels of strength for a short time.

SUPPORT 1 | Pace: Crouching slows nearby enemies and grants resistance.
SUPPORT 2 | Dodge: While crouching or sprinting you have a chance to dodge arrows headed towards you.

MOBILITY |
Slide/Crawl:
After sprinting, crouching will give a short burst of speed. Slide into 1 block gaps to crawl under them.
Scale:
Crouching next to the top of walls will let you climb up them. If not near the top you will slowly scale down the wall when crouching or sprinting.
Charge Sprint:
Sprinting progressively increases your speed over time.
Charge Jump:
Crouching will grant increased jump height.
Double Boost:
Crouching in the air grants a short burst of levitation. Able to use twice.
HUNTER
scoreboard players set @s class 4

ATTACK 1 | Tracking Arrows:
On hit, arrows will highlight and track enemies on your HUD, displaying how far they are from you and their current health.
ATTACK 2 | Disorient: Punching enemies slows, blinds, and weakens them.

SUPPORT 1 | Replenish: Successful arrow hits have a chance to return arrows.
SUPPORT 2 | Catch: While crouching or sprinting, you have a chance to catch arrows headed towards you.

MOBILITY |
Slide/Crawl:
After sprinting, crouching will give a short burst of speed. Slide into 1 block gaps to crawl under them.
Wallrun:
Sprinting next to a wall allows you to cling next to it. Crouching and looking up or down will allow you to scale the wall.
Evade:
Crouching after walking in any direction will give a short burst speed.
Charge Sprint:
Sprinting progressively increases your speed over time.
Trekker: Able to hold your breath for longer when underwater and not swimming. Increased swim speed.
Boost:
Crouching in the air grants a short burst of levitation.
PYROMANCER
scoreboard players set @s class 5

ATTACK 1 | Burning Fists:
Punching enemies sets them on fire.
ATTACK 2 | Incendiary Arrows: Arrows detonate after a short time and light nearby enemies on fire.

SUPPORT 1 | Inhale: Being near burning enemies recharges your hunger. Killing burning enemies grants health.
SUPPORT 2 | Exhale: Sliding leaves behind a trail of fire.

MOBILITY |
Slide/Crawl:
After sprinting, crouching will give a short burst of speed. Slide into 1 block gaps to crawl under them.
Clamber:
Crouching next to the top of walls will let you climb up them.
Charge Sprint:
Sprinting progressively increases your speed over time.
Magma Runner:
Sprinting over lava turns it into magma.
Exhaust:
Crouching in the air propels you upward for a short time. Clambering or breaking from using your exhaust will recharge it. When out of charge you will slowly glide down.
EXPLORER
scoreboard players set @s class 6

ATTACK 1 | Counter:
Getting hit by an enemy gives a burst of speed and strength.
ATTACK 2 | Ping Arrows: Arrows make nearby enemies glow.

SUPPORT 1 | Quick Mining: Increased mining speed.
SUPPORT 2 | Fast Heal: Sneaking with half your hunger bar filled will regenerate health.

MOBILITY |
Slide/Crawl:
After sprinting, crouching will give a short burst of speed. Slide into 1 block gaps to crawl under them.
Scale:
Crouching next to the top of walls will let you climb up them. If not near the top you will slowly scale down the wall when crouching or sprinting.
Agile:
Increased speed and jump height while sprinting.
Trekker:
Able to hold your breath for longer when underwater and not swimming. Increased swim speed.
Charge Jump:
Crouching grants increased jump height.

TOOLS
Grappling Hook | Right click to toss your hook. Wait for the hooked sound then right click again to fly upward. While in the air, and under your hook, you fall more slowly. Click while crouching to cancel.

Rift Seeker |
Splits off into up to 5 sprites that seek out targets to weaken and slow them. Killing one enemy connected to a rift seeker will deal damage to other connected enemies.

Redstone Tracker |
Highlights and tracks enemies on your HUD, displaying how far they are from you and their current health.

Explosive Trap |
Sets off a TNT explosion when enemies walk nearby. Sets off other explosive traps if they are within a 5 block radius.

EVENTS


GLOBAL EVENTS
Meteor Shower | Some nights, the sky will sparkle with raining meteorites. Occasionally a large meteor will enter the atmosphere. (Future updates will add loot to crashed meteors)

*more events will be added in a future release


FACTIONS


Currently there are two player factions which are subject to have their name and symbol changed. All hostile creatures are assigned to an enemy faction. In the future, completing events and bounties will earn you valor in your faction. The combined valor of your entire faction makes up your prosperity. Each in-game week earn completing events, bounties, earning XP, increasing your factions prosperity will earn you loot packages.

THINGS TO NOTE

● The only recipe is for the grappling hook, accessing other items, classes and factions can currently only be done through commands.
● Because of advanced movement, If you play at a higher FOV I recommend turning down the FOV effects in accessibility settings.
● The grappling hook now works differently than as seen in the video.
● This datapack includes an extra dimension but it doesn't have a use currently.

Both the data pack and resourcepack need to be unzipped. In other words, it's the folder inside the zip file that you need to put into the world.

I just got this pack and it is super suck. I'm using it on my realm but not really sure how to do the commands though. Could you give an example of how to assign a class to someone? Also is there a way I can set other people's team? I also installed three packs today and one of them is causing a daily sever reset. Do you know if this pack is the cause of it?

Hey, glad you're trying it out! The daily/weekly reset message is from my datapack, I'll be sure to hide it in the next update. It doesn't really effect anything yet, the message was to show me the system is working.

All the commands to access classes, items, and teams can be found in the spoilers for the post but I'll include them below:

Entering the following command set's the players class to...
Assassin: /scoreboard players set (player name or @s/@p/@a) class 1
Mystic: /scoreboard players set (player name or @s/@p/@a) class 2
Warrior: /scoreboard players set (player name or @s/@p/@a) class 3
Hunter: /scoreboard players set (player name or @s/@p/@a) class 4
Pyromancer: /scoreboard players set (player name or @s/@p/@a) class 5

To join different teams use:

Thank you, can't wait for the update! The reset thing was annoying because it tried to reset every few hours and the realm auto saves for some reason can't keep up with that. It wasn't just a message it did reset every now and then.
