Zelda Bokoblin V3.0
For Minecraft 1.14.4 to 1.15.2!

The Zelda Bokoblin data pack replaces zombies that spawn into the world with bokoblin. Bokoblin come in five color variants, red, blue, black, silver, and gold. The color of the bokoblin indicate their power level, with red being the weakest, and gold being the strongest. The stronger the bokoblin, the higher the health and damage, but also the better the loot. Gold and silver bokoblins drop precious metals and gems.

Zelda Bokoblin V3.0 [Data Pack] Minecraft Data Pack

So, how does the pack work?

Zelda Bokoblin works by detecting any zombies or zombie villagers that spawn into the world and replaces them with a random type of bokoblin. These bokoblins have custom health and damage stats as well as a custom lunge attack. The pack requires the use of a resource pack to display the bokoblin textures, as well as custom models for their head/ears/horn and weapons.

This pack comes with a settings option, which is displayed on reload. Install the pack and run the /reload command. The settings allow you to configure the spawn rates of the mobs in this pack.

To install, follow the instructions contained in the "instructions.txt" file included in the download. If you are still having issues, ask for help on our discord.

The download includes both the data pack and resource pack. Make sure to put both files into their correct locations.

This Data Pack is contained inside our Custom Map Zelda Battle Arena. Check it out here!

Update V3.0 : by Eastonium 03/08/2020 8:13:55 pmMar 8th, 2020

-Updated to our V3.0 pack format to give it better integrations into our other 20+ packs.
-Updated to 1.15.2. No changes needed but ensured it works.
-Split the resource pack off from the Library pack, as it was changing all zombie villagers in worlds, even if this pack wasn't specifically installed.
-Added new instructions and such to go along with the new file formats.

Will you make this datapack for the new versions? I would like to use this datapack together with other datapacks about Zelda on 1.16

I might update it eventually, but generally people didn't really like this pack.

Yeah, it's a novel concept but kinda works better in a dedicated world than in a random one generated by the player. I personally would love to see the pack get updated for 1.17, as this plus your rupee system and stalfos packs work in tandem with Howzieky's Breath of the Wild mod. In fact I believe there's a Minecraft recreation of the world of Breath of the Wild available for download somewhere, and all your Zelda datapacks together with Howzieky's pack would make for the definitive Breath of the Wild experience in Minecraft.

Yeah, this was actually originally made for my Zelda Battle Arena map but then later split off into individual datapacks (my first 5 or six were all from that map). Definitely works better in the map than as a datapack. Definitely no plans to update it.

That's a shame, I think it would be so perfect for that BotW map. If someone were to offer to update these packs themselves under a new name - not me, of course, I know almost nothing about making datapacks myself - what would you think of it, assuming they asked for your permission before starting and crediting you if permission is given?

Love the mashup between Minecraft and LOZ. Keep up the great work! I did a showcase video on my YouTube channel of this datapack... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JQ1xkTFWCE (You are welcome to use it for promotional reasons)
