    The Zelda Clawshot datapack adds a new item to the game, the Clawshot. The Clawshot shoots out a hook that can latch on to any wooden blocks. It will then pull the player to the block and hold them there. Two Clawshots can be used at the same time, one in both hands. This allows you to alternate between the two without ever needing to touch the ground.

    So, how does this pack work?

    The pack runs a ray trace of where you are looking. It then generates the chain in front of you, which the player will get pulled by if the end of the chain hits a wooden block. If it hits an item, it will pull that item back to the player. If a mob is hit, it will take a small amount of damage and be stunned for a short time. If a non-wooden block is hit, it will bounce off and return to the player. Once pulled, you are held in the air until you deselect the item or press shift.


    To install, follow the instructions contained in the “instructions.txt” file included in the download. If you are still having issues installing or want help knowing how to do something with the pack, ask for help on our discord.

    UPDATED TO 1.16.1!

    Fixed issues involved with 1.16.1 breaking things.

    Updated the pack to our new V4.0 Library version, which adds advancement indicators for what packs are installed.
    Added a new setting to allow the clawshot to attach to all block types.

    Changed the settings to use our new checkmark(tm) settings system.

    I haven't updated it to 1.17.

    Probably won't, it is kinda buggy.

    I love this datapack, but in the old version I had some issues in multiplayer

    I love making dungeons zelda style and this addon was groundbreaking when I wanted to design new dungeons, so I use it on multiplayer, the datapack do work like 80% fine using a single clawshot, it have some bugs that makes the clawshot breaks "randomly" or sometimes it get confused about who to drag if two people have it equipped, and double is actually impossible to use, also some other minor things such aiming problems, despite I hit the wooden block it isnt detected, it happens often when the wooden block is inside the wall

    I want to ask if you did check and fixed that?

    out of that, this datapack is way too good and different, this feels like a mod, great job that you do

    as a sugestion, you can put what changed between versions


    edit: still the same about some issues, I cant use double clawshot, I cant aim it, the moment I shot it goes straight another direction
