    Welcome to the Minecraft with RTX ON Community Event!

    Planet Minecraft is hosting our first event crafted for Minecraft Bedrock Edition players! It's your time to shine by showing everyone what is possible in Minecraft with RTX ON. Java Edition players, you can still enter but be sure to read the details under How to Enter.

    Earlier this year, NVIDIA, Mojang and Microsoft released the Minecraft with RTX Windows 10 client. This brought ray tracing and DLSS to everyone with an RTX enabled graphics card. They have released a total of 15 official RTX worlds for Minecraft but are interested in seeing what the greater Minecraft community is capable of! They're not only excited to see what we can do but will review and select random winners from the entries after the event!

    Hold up, an event with NVIDIA prizes?
    That's right. NVIDIA is giving away some impressive prizes for showing them what can be accomplished with what they've done for the game of Minecraft. At the end of the event, all participants will receive a special pixel art award for their trophy case.

    How to Enter!

    The theme of this event is open ended with the primary goal of showing everyone how Physically Based Rendering (PBR) textures enhances your Minecraft builds. You can think small and build an elaborate detailed scene, think big and build an entire Cyberpunk City or think somewhere in between and just go for the WOW factor.

    1. Download a PBR Texture pack
    NVIDIA published their official NVIDIA PBR texture pack on Planet Minecraft for everyone to use! You are also welcome to follow the tutorial on how to make your own PBR textures!



    2. Build your entry with RTX ON or in mind.
    Windows 10 Bedrock Edition WITH RTX
    You're all set to go! If you haven't already, download the Minecraft with RTX Windows 10 Client. Enable the PBR Texture pack and let its unique physically based textures inspire your creative work and presentation.

    Windows 10 Bedrock Edition WITHOUT RTX
    Study the official NVIDIA PBR texture properties from the image gallery. Download and enable the PBR Texture pack. You will see a warning that it won't work with your hardware but you can still build your entry with it enabled.

    When finished with your build, find someone in the community or your friend group that has an RTX and is able to take screenshots for you with RTX ON.

    Java Edition
    Study the official NVIDIA PBR textures and then build your entry with it in mind.

    When finished with your build, follow the tutorial on converting your Java Edition Minecraft world to Bedrock Edition. After conversion, find someone in the community or your friend group that has an RTX and is able to take screenshots for you with RTX ON.

    3. Submit your entry into the event.
    Once you've completed your build and have screenshots of it with RTX ON, submit it into the event by checking the "Minecraft with RTX ON Event" box on the submission upload form. If your entry does not have RTX screenshots, it will be disqualified.

    Event theme is open ended but there are two requirements for entries.

    Requirements

    1. Entry must have a download for Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
    2 . Present your entry using screenshots with RTX ON and a Physically Based Rendering (PBR) texture pack.

    Don't have Bedrock Edition or an RTX graphics card? Scroll up and read step #2 on "How to Enter".
    NVIDIA published an official NVIDIA PBR Texture Pack. You can even create your own PBR textures!

    You may enter ONCE!
    • The standard rules of Planet Minecraft apply to all submissions.
    • You are expected to enter new work. This means you cannot enter creations previously published.
    • You are allowed to enter work that also fits an unofficial community event that is simultaneously running as long as your entry follows our event rules.
    • Collaborations and teamwork are allowed for this event but only the author will be contacted in the event the entry is selected for a prize.
    • Submissions that do not follow our requirements may be disqualified at anytime.
