Guys, I need some help.
There's this girl I really like, but she doesn't show any interest in me. She just sits there and doesn't even acknowledge the fact that I exist. It's almost like she has no feelings. It kinda concerns me. I really love her, but I have never talked to her. It's just that feeling you get when you see someone and know that they're the one. Well, so something happened today: I was waiting for my best friend after school but he wasn't coming (he was in class putting his things in his bag) so I went upstairs to my class and I asked him why he wasn't coming. Well, yeah, it's important to know the person, but after dating, there's this awkwardness that exists between the two individuals, and it almost always weakens the friendship to some extent. If it's a best friendship or a really close friendship, very rarely is that friendship restored all the way after dating. So, in a sense, you'll end up losing out in the end, and, depending on the relationship, you could end up losing them completely. You never know.

At least, that's the excuse my best friend uses when I ask her why we don't date...

Someone's age will not tell you how their mind works. I've been told, for as long as I can remember, that I act very mature for my age. Some people act immature for their age. It all depends on the person. And it depends on the person who tells you whether or not you're mature for your age. Anyways, I'm 13, but don't jump all over me about the "too young to date, don't ruin it, don't waste your time" etc.

I am friends with him, and I do know I would want to have a relationship, but I'm not sure if he would! I don't wanna say anything if he doesn't like me back! Ugh... I wish I knew!!!!

Well, try and observe his body language. That'll say a lot right there... Also, maybe try throwing hints at him. Us guys need them.

I agree with the IRL friends thing. but only if you'd trust those people with your (social) life, because any person you just talk to might accidentally spill it/be coaxed into doing so. Or they'll try to 'help out' and actually tell the boy/girl you like. I'm like the most inexperienced person with this, but that's just how secrets work in general.

You know, fully grown men who sit around playing Minecraft all day probably aren't the best people to ask for relationship advice. Just saying.

@Zooss, sure. There's no real meaning to it, but I think as long as you spend time with them and get to know them, you can call it dating.

I've always found it easier if you ask your IRL friends that know them about advice. Unless they are annoying jerks when anything you say "can and will be used against you" I think your friend group kinda effects it all as well.
Also something I've always considered when on this subject:
Is actually dating if you have to ask your parents to take/pay for you to do things with them?

This is a spooky thread, I'm not qualified to give out advice so I'll just watch and see what's going on here.
