How do you change the background music of Minecraft?

I was looking to change it via changing on of the default soundtracks with the one I want to replace it with but I don't know where the files are located. If you could help me out, I would really appreciate it.

You'll have to create a resource pack that replaces the music files. There's a template here you can use https://www.planetminecraft.com/data-pack/template-music-resource-pack-template-for-easy-modification/
To make your music into ogg files for the resource pack, you can use Audacity, a free sound editing program. Let me know if you need more help!
