Minecraft Bedrock addon instructions from Minecraft.netadd_to_photos

I did not create this, but am posting it for the aid of bedrock edition players, all credit goes to Mojang and Microsoft



WINDOWS 10

  1. Open Minecraft for Windows 10.
  2. Download the world or Add-On file from the provided source (URL, email attachment, etc.). If the file downloads as a .zip file, change the file extension name to ".McWorld" or ".McPack".
  3. Navigate to the directory where you downloaded the file.
  4. Open the file by double clicking & the Add-On should open in Minecraft.
    • If you're opening a .McWorld that contains Add-Ons, the game will notify you that you've successfully imported the world. It will then be available from the "Play" menu.
    • If you're opening a .McPack, a pop-up notification will alert you that you've successfully imported the pack. Depending on the pack type, this will then be available when editing worlds in either the Behavior Pack Tab or Resource Pack Tab.
    • .Mcaddons usually contain a Resource and Behavior pack

ANDROID

  1. Open Minecraft.
  2. Download the world or Add-On file to your Android device.
  3. Go to the Settings app and select Storage > Explore (at the bottom). If you do not have a settings app, you can install a file explorer app like ES File Explorer.
  4. Select the directory where you saved the file, usually "Download".
  5. Select the file & the Add-On should open in Minecraft.
    • If you're opening a .McWorld that contains Add-Ons, the game will notify you that you've successfully imported the world. It will then be available from the "Play" menu.
    • If you're opening a .McPack, a pop-up notification will alert you that you've successfully imported the pack. Depending on the pack type, this will then be available when editing worlds in either the Behavior Pack Tab or Resource Pack Tab.

IPHONE/IPAD

  1. Open Minecraft.
  2. Click on the world or Add-On file you want to open (URL, e-mail attachment, etc.).
  3. Your device will prompt you to open the file with Minecraft.
  4. Click Open in "Minecraft". This will launch Minecraft with your selected file.
    • If you're opening a .McWorld that contains Add-Ons, the game will notify you that you've successfully imported the world. It will then be available from the "Play" menu.
    • If you're opening a .McPack, a pop-up notification will alert you that you've successfully imported the pack. Depending on the pack type, this will then be available when editing worlds in either the Behavior Pack Tab or Resource Pack Tab.

OCULUS RIFT

  1. Open Minecraft for Windows 10 in Rift Mode (if not in Rift mode, Add-Ons will open the regular version of Minecraft for Windows 10).
  2. Download the world or Add-On file from the provided source (URL, email attachment, etc.). If the file downloads as a .zip file, change the file extension name to ".McWorld" or ".McPack".
  3. Navigate to the directory where you downloaded the file.
  4. Open the file & the Add-On should open in Minecraft.

GEAR VR

  1. Connect your Gear VR compatible mobile device to a desktop PC via USB.
  2. Once connected, navigate to Minecraft App folder here: This PC\<Your Phone>\Phone\games\com.mojang\ (note: this path may vary depending on phone being used).
  3. Navigate to the directory where you downloaded the file.
  4. For Importing .McWorld files:
    • Navigate to the MineCraftWorlds folder.
    • Drop the .McWorld File into this folder.
    • Convert the extension from .McWorld to .zip.
    • Extract the contents of the zip here.
    For Importing .McPack files:
    • Navigate to the correct folder:
      • If your .McPack is of type Behavior, navigate to the behavior_packs folder.
      • If your .McPack is of type Resource, navigate to the resource_packs folder.
    • Drop the .McPack File into this folder.
    • Convert the extension from .McPack to .zip (No need to extract the contents of the zip!)
    • Open Minecraft.
    • Add-Ons and/or Worlds with Add-Ons should be available in the Worlds Menu and in the Behavior and Resource Pack Tabs of Worlds.
    • Mcaddons usually contain a Resource and Behavior pack

AMAZON

  1. Connect your Amazon device to a desktop PC via USB.
  2. Once connected, navigate to Minecraft App folder here: This PC\<Amazon device name>\Internal storage\games\com.mojang (note: this path may vary depending on phone being used).
  3. For Importing .McWorld files:
    • Navigate to the MineCraftWorlds folder.
    • Drop the .McWorld File into this folder.
    • Convert the extension from .McWorld to .zip.
    • Extract the contents of the zip here.
    For Importing .McPack files:
    • Navigate to the correct folder:
      • If your .McPack is of type Behavior, navigate to the behavior_packs folder.
      • If your .McPack is of type Resource, navigate to the resource_packs folder.
