This reminds me of the yanny and laurel thing it’s literally pointless to fight about it.

I like modding and resource packs over the marketplace.

For yall who keeps telling people to stop posts like these,

It's like the whole 'console vs PC' argument. Bedrock runs smoothly and guarantees a certain level of performance and quality, but is otherwise somewhat limited, especially by the fact that it must be able to perform decently across ALL devices (PC, Xbox, PS4/5(?), Switch, mobile), but it does mean overall performance is more smooth.
Java is a bit more clunky and a lot less efficient, but the possibilities are so incredibly broad by comparison simply due to the sheer amount of user-generated content made and currently still being made that it compensates a lot.
I'm not counting marketplace content because I know for a fact that 99% of all maps are constructed in Java (addons, resourcepacks, skinpacks etc are made outside the game, with only testing done ingame).
Overall, there's no 'better', it severely depends on what you want out of the game.
Myself, I doubt I'll ever play much of bedrock recreationally, as while the maps are fun to an extent there's so much content available on Java that it's not worth paying money for Bedrock content for me. And I've yet to find an addon or map that provides as much content as a solid Java Modpack.
That, and I don't really 'play' minecraft all that much anymore, it's primarily building for me and has been for years.

Bedrock is good for people who just want to get into the game quickly without the BS, though Java has more potential like Mod Support, Command Block support, custom skins (yes I know you can get that on PE and Windows 10 Edition but most Bedrock players use console.), and even better server support.
3
I'm not hating on either edition but I honestly think Java has less of the BS.
Bedrock just slams the marketplace in your face.
Bedrock is better for casual Minecraft players, while I think Java is better for more active Minecrafters.

theres the same but with added and diffrent features

Intentionally provocative, to earn easy emeralds from Bedrock-fanboys?
Shame on you :)
Shame on you :)
2
My opinion is that legacy console is better than both. Because of the tutorial worlds and mini games this is my nugget, but take it to heart.

Stop this fight! Bedrock isn't better than Java, neither is it vice versa.
I prefer Java, but I won't let it stop others from liking Bedrock.
Bedrock is also good, as it can easily run on low performance devices and is easy to do multiplayer.
The things Java is good for is that you can change versions, there are clients and isn't money driven.
Please stop participating in this drama. Don't be as stupid as a Gacha kid.

I feel like people have their likings, I personally have both Java and Bedrock (pocket), and it's REALLY hard to play pocket... but then again, bedrock on windows 10 looks much better.
2
I do agree, but Java is older the Bedrock, which means it is better
3
Java is better.
2
Thank you!

This is a very very stupid thought. The only things that bedrock is supirior at is multiplayer, and lag. stop posting incorrect "facts", and get a brain.
2
SHOULD I REPEAT WHAT I ALREADY SAID THAT IT IS YOUR OPINION AND NOW THE FIGHT IS OVER AND PLS STOOOOOOOOOOOOP!!!!!!!!!

I'd say that they're fairly equal... Yet only because of YouTuber's branding of Java Edition, it has become more popular and Java Bullies continue thinking they are too good... When I ask my jerky friends y Java is better, they'd all scream 'HYPIXEL'! I mean, Cubecraft is just as good (OP SERVER IN BEDROCK)... Here it is in more understanding...
Java: HYPIXEL!!!, mods, better data packs, faster updates, different combat measures, statistics in-game, advancements
Bedrock: All servers are very good (BALANCED), decent mods, more cleaner, WAY BETTER BACKGROUND PAGE, statistics on Xbox, Xbox chat, compatible with everybody who plays on Console and Pocket Edition (more compatibility), achievements which is better than advancements cause they are overall and can't be achieved in creative! (no separate achievements for every single game)
So to be honest, Bedrock looks better to me... Hypixel may be such a hype for the Java Community and all, but it doesn't really make a difference... Who said servers in Bedrock aren't good enough? And people argue that faster updates is good, yet Bedrock players do get the updates EVENTUALLY, so it really doesn't make a difference...
But just to make it fair, they r both good (thou i secretly find Bedrock better) XD

I AGREE!!!

It's not a fight. It's a discussion where people share their opinions.

I prefer Java because of quasi redstone, mod compatibility, commands, and special mechanics that only java has.
although Bedrock does things better when it comes to servers(debatable), 3d model compatibility, cross-platform(duh), and their own special features. bedrock has other commands and command functionality that java doesnt have like editing the ticks per second a repeating command block does but having no editable nbt tags (compared to java) is a HUGE bummer. Redstone is also a different experience, it's random, and inconsistent, but movable tile entities are amazing though.

Java Is better at versions and competitiveness but bedrock is equal apart from those things.
2
you know what....

Have you ever played Java? I mean I would’ve agreed until i actually played Java. Bedrock became so underwhelming when I tried playing it again.
for me the winner is Java mostly because you can make the world look amazing and realistic, you’re not as limited to what you can do in Java either... overall it’s just more fun

I'm a bedrock player but sadly java is more mod-friendly and YouTuber-friendly and also you can not hold things like axes in your left hand, you can only hold shields and totems of undying, or other items like that in bedrock. In Java you can hold anything in ur left hand.
