im trying to kill everything in a radius with a command block but I cant figure out how

/kill @e[sort=nearest,distance=..<InsertDistanceHere>]

when I tried it said no entity was found

or try this command for latest Bedrock Edition:

/kill @e[r=<RadiusHere>]

That should indicate that all entities have been removed, and therefore it can't find anymore entities to delete.
