As long as the community doesn't become majorly divided, and updates keep coming out that add to the gameplay experience of vanilla, I feel the relevancy of Minecraft will remain strong.

If mojang continues to update, then it may stay popular for about 50 years or so!, but the game's fans may get tiered of it. but minecraft has a power, and that is, nostalgia and that may start another wave of popularity.

Indefinitely, far as I can tell. I feel that the creativity based nature of the game and the simplistic art style (helps keep the games graphics from feeling "dated") have helped the game stay popular for 10+ years and I hope that continues. I'm always happy to see new updates (moreso when they don't break things...) and I love seeing people's creations.
