Hi all,
Other than the basics in survival mode of mining, wood etc materials what other resources should i be collecting at the start of survival.
I know there are youtubes on this but id rather ask you lot as everyone is different

Sugar cane and leather, will help when you want to make an enchantment table room

thanks for the info. aye got the farms going cows sheep chickens, berries wheat carrots tatties beetroot anything other than them. ive even set up a tree farm for wood

Fishing is also really good to start, you get tons of food and also the chances of some good enchantment books if possible set up an AFK fishing farm this is the design https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wKW0OovGK4 / video I used when I made mine, if you build it in an enclosed area you can effectively leave the game open without the worry of mobs. Also good for xp

Question for you whats the emeralds for can you only give them if you have them yourself?

nah you don't have to have them to give them, There basically upvoting on convo's and posts the more emeralds you get the more XP you get to level up, I tend to give them away to anyone I'm having a conversation with.

got 3 slaughter mils on the go and a chicken pen bee hive berry bush and most of the planting food sources now

Coal, for torches, to have light. 😊 Makes that first night way more comfortable!

aye got all that all the basics ive got its more for enchanting now and work my wat to the end world

Iron is really usefull because you can use it for a lot of things. When I play survival I like to make a lot of automatic farms such as an automatic chicken coocker or sugercane farm, which both require hoppers which are made of iron :)
