Good morning everybody!

This is a Minecraft Tutorial on how to enchant properly in Minecraft. This video was requested by Xbox LIVE user RJCCJ of Stuck Gaming and of the Xbox Breaker Company clan. This video will teach you how to maximize your enchanting capabilities to put the most enchantments possible onto items, which include factors such as:

  • Enchanting with enchanted books most expensive enchantments to least expensive
  • What categories each enchanted book falls into in terms of how expensive it is on it's own when maxed out (Not combined with any other books on the anvil or from fishing/enchanting a book on the enchantment table).
  • Using items to be enchanted that have not previously have been repaired
  • Remembering to name your item on the anvil when applying the last enchantment you want
  • Getting pre-enchanted items and enchanting in ways that will not increase your item's NBT RepairCost to allow for maximum enchanting capabilities after obtaining them, which includes:
  1. Enchanting on the Enchantment Table
  2. Obtaining End City Loot
  3. Obtaining Ruined Portal Loot
  4. Working with Villager Smiths to get enchanted gear
  5. Trading with Librarians to get the best enchanted books, including Thorns III, Sharpness V, Smite V, Efficiency V, Bane of Arthropods V, and Power V.
  6. Fishing to get enchanted bows, enchanted fishing rods, and for enchanted books with multiple enchantments (especially if two or more of those enchantments match up to a particular item.

I know Sweeping Edge was not included in the video due to the video being created on Bedrock Edition, but it's Level III base enchantment cost is 6. Hope this video helps people out :)

If you are lazy I recommend getting an OP fishing rod and afk grinding with it. You can get protection and unbreaking books easily as well as other rare stuff. The only downside with this is that the books might have a curse on them.

I'm not lazy at all. I love fishing infact. Put on a playlist of my favorite music, or get into an Xbox LIVE party with friends and fish for hours. They actually feel that me fishing for 6+ hours manually for a normal fishing session is quite impressive, as they lose patience with fishing typically after 15-30 minutes. I do build a fishing shack for this as well, so phantoms and hostile mobs can't get to me. I actually end up helping my friends get their Mending I books half the time XD.

My favorite enchantments to pull out of the water are Fire Protection IV, Silk Touch I, Unbreaking III, Mending I, Thorns II, Riptide III, and Sharpness IV. I would say Soul Speed III, but that is only happening due to a glitch and from what I understand will be patched out in the next hotfix.

This video was for those who weren't getting as many enchantments onto items as they wished to due to a lack of knowledge of the RepairCost NBT variable and ways to minimize that number so the maximum amount of enchantments could be put onto an item or armor piece.

As for cursed books, I have a friend on my Realms who likes to collect them, so they just goto him XD. He's never used them in nefarious ways, but rather in funny ways instead, like making joke picks, 'expensive' shears, and other gag items with them XD.

I didn't mention Piglin Bastions in the video either, as they aren't exactly reliable for enchanted Diamond Loot like End Cities are incase anybody was wondering.
