OK, so I'm having trouble playing this map, https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/the-central-island/, with this mod pack,
https://jacksonjohnson317.wixsite.com/gigapack, so can you guys help me figure out how to run this map on this massive mod pack?
My computer uses 8GB of RAM.
Any help will be appreciated!

well obviously you should be patient and wait until it fully loads, its not an error until the game crashes or gets stuck
you are using a big modpack which always takes some time to load along with a custom world you created, large modpacks always take a long time to load along with the fact that it also has to load up your custom world

Karrthus is 100% correct, and depending on what you have in the modpack that is already on the map, maybe some of the blocks are acting weird or glitchy. I would recommend first loading the map with no mods (unless there are modded items or block in the map), and checking if everything loads and does not conflict with anything in your modpack. If there are conflicting blocks, well, you'll have to remove them. If there aren't any, try loading the modpack again and make sure you are only using your modpack and no other mods, because if you are using other mods, they might conflict with your custom modpack. The map doesn't have ANY modded things at all!
And I'll try loading it with no mods then try loading it with my mod pack...

i mean first of all you need to describe what the issue is,
obviously there will be no worldgen unless its retro-generated in , if thats the issue you cant play the modpack you created on that map you built without going and generating new chunks

OK, So I put the world folder into the saves folder, start up my minecraft, it takes about 2 minutes, once loaded I click of the world, and when it loads for a bit, like it says building terrain, loading world, then the home screen flashes, this usally happens and then about an instant after the world starts to load again, and then it just sits there for who knows how long, I haven't had the patience to wait however long, or if waiting even help!

I created the mod pack, but yes, it does work with other maps!
It just doesn't load with this map...
