Any tips on structural builds?
Hello fellow PMCers! I was wondering if any builders had any tips on more structural builds or just builds in general? Structural builds are not my strong point. I hope to learn more about these beautiful buildings!
(I did appy for the Mithirintia Academy. Please don't suggest that.)

Make sure you plan your design.. like don't just wing it.. really and try to get some curviture and make things look natural like.. don't mix Purple Block with a Glowstone... something like.. Emerald and stonebrick blocks.... and layer your buildings

Try using slabs, stairs, and dont use too many different materials.
Make support pillars because they always look good, unless in a house.
And go with the flow, my fellow PMCer

Try to adopt a general motif or architectural style.

Structural? What exactly do you mean? Do you mean making ... structures (duh), but not necessarily buildings or maps?
If so... well, as for everything, take as long as possible; try to focus on every inch of detail. Also, more specifically for (what I assume are) structural builds, try using blocks/colors that you don't think would usually go well. These seemingly-odd blocks may actually fit in or complete the structure from a farther view.

Well, I know most builders would completely disagree with me, but I think it's easier to just build off the top of your head. With planning you end up trying to copy it identically and it doesn't look as creative as when you just go with the flow. Think of something then build it.
