I am updating wood in my texture pack and would like to match it to how it is used. I have little experience with using the stripped variants.
If you use stripped wood regularly in your builds, I would like to know what you prefer to use it for, especially in combination and contrast to planks.
Thank you.

Because it just fits well in some scenarios.

I use regular logs, stripped logs and Planks in builds. they just look different. In MC the thing id love them to do is make an update that REALLY adds to creative building.

I like the overall texture of the stripped logs and I do prefer some of them over the logs for building

I use stripped logs to make custom trees.

It's really good as a directional block that isn't as dark and "strong" as the regular logs. I use them for beams and pillars as an alternative to logs, for flooring as an alternative to (or to combine with) planks, or as an accent as an alternative to the "open" part of logs.

I use them because they fit in multiple building scenarios. They could be used to make different kinds of trees, floors, walls, supports, etc. Very multipurpose. They can also compliment other blocks that their other variants cannot.

I use them because they have darker edges which is useful sometimes. They look round when stacked horizontally, too.

Globally nothing. I'm still playing in 1.12.2 because my favourite mods are still in 1.12.2 and I hate changing versions.

It has more pastel color than logs and therefore can be used to create a more cozy look.
