New Puzzle and trap ideas needed!

Hey everyone! I am currently working on a secret extensive project that i would really like to amp up with some unique redstone puzzles and techniques that aren't on your typical adventure map. I am not extremely redstone savvy but i have a lot of experience with the basic mechanics. Any ideas of yours i use in my projects i will be sure to add you in the credits if you want. Any ideas will be considered!

What kind of traps? Landmines are always fun, or I have this video on how to make a Trapped Cake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LObQgXas9iI. Or you could look up traps which use pistons, torches / signs, and gravel or sand to remove large sections of floor and drop players into a pit.
As for puzzles, Redstone Runner is a great classic Minecraft game. I also like "Trivia Towers," where there are levels with different questions, and if you get it right you progress through the tower. If you get it wrong, you progress, but a hostile mob spawns in the next room.
