“We need help… we were *static* by pirates. Requesting *static* at local star cluster 887-131…”
“Captain, the message is a loop.”
“Arm the guns, let’s go in.”
“Arm the guns?”
“Could be a trap.”
“Engaging FTL drives to cluster 887-131. Guns primed and ready for action.”
Important Info/Update info

Many species call this galaxy home. A genetic diversity covering the vastness of space, there is bound to be a genetic diversity of ships to compliment this. Many pirates skulk uncharted star sectors, praying on those unlucky enough to pass through such uncharted territories. Many ships are outfitted with FTL drives, making it much easier to get from system to system. There are also space stations, mobile hubs in which people can meet up. Entire fleets of people roam the galaxy. But there are many threats as well.
Few people venture out on their lonesome in this galaxy, those who do usually stay aboard larger vessels, occasionally leaving and roaming. Sometimes, they hire mercenaries to protect them or get ahold of a ship. Other times, they employ the aid of Virtual Intelligences to maintain most aspects of the ship. For the daring, rich, and few others, an on-board Artificial Intelligence will assist as well, learning along the way.

Space ships come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from small single-person shuttles, to large mobile space stations. Most ships are outfitted with equipment such as FTL drives which run on eezo to travel across the galaxy, as well as a gun or two for defenses. But what are those things without armor, shields, and heat vents? While only shuttle-class vessels fail to meet these features, throughout the galaxy there are many classes of vessels.
Vessel Classes

While most ships fit these classes, there are some that are upgraded to be faster, stronger, etc.
These ships, however, cost money to maintain. FTL drives alone cost anywhere from thousands to billions of credits just to buy. Total costs could range from anywhere from tens of thousands of credits to quadrillions of credits! Fret not, however, credits can be earned in many ways!

Many species dot the vast galaxy, from the human to the mythical S’rhinza. Each species is different in most ways. But not all people fit their stereotypes. Beware, some are known to be unified, and harming one ship may cause an unwanted war. There are too many species to name.
There are many star-clusters as well, most are assigned numbers and some are nicknamed.
Locations of interest:
The Market

The Fleet

The galaxy is a vast place, still wholly unexplored! (This means that I’m too lazy to make up a bunch of places, so that responsibility falls upon you! Screw Open World, this is Open Galaxy! Wooo! … It’s 1 AM.)
Well, events, other info, and possibly a plot are coming soon. Most likely tomorrow, when I actually have ideas and feel productive. This is really a work in progress now, but don’t let that put you down from applying!

1) No God-Modding/Meta-gaming/Bunnying/etc.. Doing so will result in a BAN.
2) At least have a minimum of 5 full sentences per post.
3) I guess small romance between crew members is okay. I’ll have to moderate it though.
4) Everyday forum rules and such.
5) I think that’s it. Almost forgot, GRAMMAR. Have at least half-way-decent grammar.

Applications: Delete the stuff in these: <Delete this>. 2 sentence MINIMUM for each important* crew member. Give me at least two paragraphs regarding the history of your vessel. Etc.
*Important crew members. Like the helmsman. If you have a dreadnought, don’t name all of the hundreds, dozens, thousands, whatever amount, of members. Only name a few, and give 2 sentences. It should be worth noting that if you have a scout ship with 10 members, I want 2 sentences for all ten. So the minimum is 10 members, unless you have a scout ship or a single-shuttle. In that case, give me two paragraphs for the members.
<Appearance of your ship goes here! Unless you want to write it. Then put that in everything else.>
<A quote regarding the ship/from one of the crew members>
Vessel name:

Vessel identification number:
Vessel history:
<At LEAST two paragraphs>
Vessel occupation:
<Pirate, Merc, Escort ship, etc.>
Crew members:
Two sentences of biography. >
Features:<Weapons, armor, speed, etc.>
Everything else:

I’ll come back and revise the OP when I feel like it.

Teenager as far as his race is concerned. I didn't really explain it very well, I suppose.
The Speelmae race is almost completely devoted to knowledge, and each have more capacity in their brains than ten humans together. The primary goal of the race, rather than to conquer each other, is to conquer knowledge. From the second a Speelmae is hatched, they begin a rigorous learning cycle enough to make an Asian cry. As far as his race goes, Spoo is above average, you could say. The learning process of his planet is separated into segments, but nothing so mundane as all learning the same thing at the same time. Because of the day Spoo was born, he was started off learning languages and cultures, and had become fluent in many languages. Though, his age does seem a bit young to know so many languages, true, I'll fix that.

Wait, so if I'm correct, a teenager with fecal matter in his name is fluent in over 2,000+ languages?

"AAAAAAAAUUUUGGGGGHHHH!!!!!" -Victim of The Breaker

Vessel name:
"The Breaker"

Vessel identification number:

Vessel history:
Long ago on the Etherian planet, an extremely rich man ordered a fleet of ships be built for him. A magnificent array of powerful ships were sent to him. However, not all of the order made it it the man. Captain Took, operating from a smaller frigate managed to take a Dreadnought by surprise and take command. The ship took off across the galaxy, leaving a trail of destruction in it's wake.
After recruiting a few trained men, The Breaker became a daunting foe to oppose. Taking down large targets, the crew gained a fair amount of credits, though it's income has not been sheer piracy. Some of it is trading off older parts of the ship as destroyed vessels yielded new resources.
Eventually, as the ship expanded and got more infamous, pirates began to flock there to make shadier deals that it wasn't safe to do otherwise. Welcoming the fellow scum, the Breaker became a powerful center for piracy. It has taken to letting in only people who have a bounty on their heads above 1,000 credits. Anyone else is shot down.

Vessel occupation:
Though it is TECHNICALLY a Dreadnought class warship, the main crew considers the ship to be somewhat of a small space station. Pirates, mercs, and assorted scum from all corners of the galaxy

Crew members:
As this is a large ship, it has a large array of crew members. Just to name some of the main few...
[simg][/simg]
Captain Gerard Took - 171 - Male - Human
Having a good life, Gerard joined a special force of space captains. After a mishap, he was forced to leave, and has ever since been piloting his ship around thanks to a device that extends his natural lifespan.

[simg][/simg]
Lt. Kreesh - 13 - Male - Avias
After living a relatively long life (Avias never live long), Lt. Kreesh retired from commercial flying. Still having a little life left in him, the old bird was impressed into the service of Captain Took.
LeMoor - 67 - N/A - Sumaar
Born like any good Sumaar, worked in the maze of mechanics and pipes that was his planet. Eventually he found his way into The Breaker where he works as the main engineer.

[simg][/simg]
Squad VII (The seven people in the picture)- About 25 for all - Males - Humans
Born into military families, they were all put into a squad together. After getting captured by Captain Took they were forced to join him. They are the main fighters, and are skilled in any form of combat.
"Nuke" - 31 - Male - Some believe that he was, at one time, human.
Born a human, he worked as an engineer. However, working at a nuclear power plant, there was an accident, scarring him. He became a pirate, going along solo, before joining Captain Took, where he is a general combat officer, excelling at combat with ships of any kind.
Spoo Spanz - 97 - Male - Speelmae
Having spent his life up to adolescence (Speelmae live for huge amounts of time), Spoo did what he was born to do. Fluent in 2,000+ languages, and knowing the customs of 1,000's of cultures, he is a chief travels officer, allowing his crew to know exactly how to steal from whom.
Kr'aashnaardur - 41 - N/A - Frineer
A rather vicious little roach, known for his huge killing sprees. He is often seen lurking around the Breaker, awaiting the ship to get within landing distance of his small ship so he can kill more innocents.
Agent Lambada - 32 - Male - Kurillan
Once a simple merc on the street, now he works primarily for Captain Took. He has been seen most often on the bar of The Breaker, taking assassination missions when off duty.
Guraldin - ??? - Male - Sillec
Sillec was originally a doctor for his home country, able to heal quite a few wounds. He joined the crew if The Breaker not knowing what he had gotten himself into.
Reffered to as 'Computer' - N/A - Feminine - Artificial Intelligence
Built into the Breaker itself, Computer has been serving the current owner by storing data, handling complex programs, pretty much anything the ship needs. The mainframe, as seen in the picture, is located in an isolated high security room in the ship, though the computer can be accessed from any terminal, which can be found almost any place on the ship.
It is an extremely slow ship, if you don't count the small bursts of warp speed it uses when travelling through large areas of space.
The Breaker can take more than it's fair share of hits, as long as it is prepared. When travelling, many armored flaps are open, exposing the ship, but allowing faster travel. When in battle, the flaps close, allowing it to be better protected from damage, though it does take awhile to switch. It has has a forceshield made of harnessed kinetic energy, which allows most projectiles (Photon torpedoes, etc.) More power is diverted to the shield when in battle, and it will, at all times, keep in a regulated level of air, as most entities that are part of the crew breathe oxygen.
The ship is literally covered in high energy laser turrets, and has powerful plasma mortars on the main deck. It's proudest weapon is the ion cannon, though because of how long it takes to arm and fire, it has only seen battle once, destroying a stationary space station.
It has four frigates, mostly kept docked, unless travelling in shady areas of space.
The ship is fitted with dozens of escape pods, transporters, and has four main bays for transporting cargo, small scout ships, or allowing passing people to dock, for trading or killing.

Everything else:
It took me forever to create a name. If I have time I might make a map of the ship.

" It may not be the prettiest thing to ever fly through space. But its fast, and packs one hell of a punch. "
Vessel name: Mercury V

Vessel identification number: 050609
Vessel history: The Mercury V was bought 10 years ago by Rah from a Venation black market salesman, when he first got his Bounty Hunters license. It wasn't the prettiest of ships, but it was all Rah could afford at the time, and it was a pretty good deal being that its stock parts were semi-descent. Over th years instead of discarding the Mercury, and purchasing a new ship, he discovered he could just purchase new parts, and fit them onto Mercury for the same price it would cost to buy a new ship. So then it began every time Rah completed a contract he added a new part, be it a gun or and upgrade on its shield, every kill Mercury got better and better.
Soon Rah had customized the ship to maximum performance, and had one of the best cruisers in the quadrant. Rah had thought of redoing the cruisers outside too, but he had grown on the rust over the years so decided to keep it.

Vessel occupation: Bounty Hunter Cruiser?

Crew members:

Supreme Hunter Srin Rah

Features: Two Javelin Disruptor Torpedoes
One custom Thanix Cannon

Vessel History:
Beowulf's father purchased the Belarus back when it was named Aveline. She was quite the merchant vessel, carrying supplies all over the galaxy, and soon enough, Beowulf's father was known as a reliable, and quick, merchant. Upon turning twelve, Beowulf was taken onto the ship, where he found his love of flying. Once he turned fifteen, he heard men were considering a mutiny against Beowulf and his father.
So on his birthday, Beowulf broke into his father's gun vault and took out an assault rifle. He slaughtered the crew and his father, and left only his father's advisor alive. So Beowulf renamed himself, along with the ship, upgraded it, and set off to find slavers and slaves to make some money.

”The enemies of the Kreed Sabboh, and the Wonto Military shall fall before us. It shall be an honor to see to this personally. I accept.” – Shran Lkio, accepting his new position as captain.
Vessel name:
“A Monument to All Your Sins.”

Vessel identification number:
Vessel history:
“A Monument to All Your Sins” was assembled as one of the biggest joint projects of the Wonto Military, and the Kreed Sabboh, being an astounding two kilometers long, with top-of-the-line laser weaponry, kinetic barriers, and heavy armor plating, it is a Dreadnought class ship. Quite a feat of engineering as well! Originally commissioned for military use, “A Monument to All Your Sins” is equipped with a barracks, a workout room, an armory, a simulated park (with plant and animal life native to the galaxy), and a remarkable war room and bridge. There are many different rooms in the Dreadnought however.
“A Monument to All Your Sins” has served in many battles, mostly with pirates. The dreadnought is one of the strongest assets of the Kreed/Wonto fleet, having gained fame throughout the empires. It is rumored that the vessel contains an AI matrix composed of billions of organic minds, allowing for a huge advantage. But those are just rumors, which have been neither confirmed nor denied.

"Aww hell yes." ~ Crow when first sighted ship (Translated from Crow's native language by suit)
Vessel name:The Barb

Vessel identification number: 7777777
Vessel history:
The vessel was found by Crow while cruising around sector 6001127726.
Crow and his crew spotted it from the bridge. The band of pirates could not tell if it was a giant organic life form or a vessel. They flew over in their stolen scout ship. It was small enough to fit just their crew of four and a single weapon plus the FTL drive of course.
They boarded the ship through an airlock on the side. The doors seemed very organic, like sphincters. From the outside it was in pristine condition on the inside of the ship it seemed to be in the same condition of the outside. All the doors worked perfectly. All the systems which seemed to be organic and self regulating. It was abandoned.
That meant it was Crow's crew's for the taking.
Vessel occupation:
Squid calls it a, "real planet smasher" but it really is just a "Super-class Dreadnaught" armed with huge weapons.

Crew members

Features:Weapons: Two arc cannons that throw arcs of electricity larger than lightning across space to attack enemies.
Smaller auto cannons, one mid grade ion cannon and some anti scout ship machine guns
Speed: Highest speed is 387 MPH
