I think it looks nice, but it could look even better! But, I'm not good at this either.
Ok, I wouldn't consider myself good at this either, but I'll try to help.
1. Try lowering the eyes by one pixel.
2. Move the eyebrows and nose to the base layer.
3. Draw the ears. Make sure they're visible. Erase anything in the way of the ears if necessary.
4. Make the muzzle (white area on the face) wider.
5. Don't use absolute white or absolute black. Adding a little bit of blue to either one allows shading.
6. Use hue shifting for darker areas. (Every time you choose a darker color, shift the color wheel more towards blue, and every time you choose a lighter color, shift it towards yellow.)
Hope this helps!

thanks for the advice- I'll hopefully be able to finish their skin, and I think the hue shifting could help me, I've just been using opacity to slightly darken colors
there is a chrome extention that is like a color picker thingy. I think that would really help! I use it alot for drawings and skins and such!! here is the link https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/colorpick-eyedropper/ohcpnigalekghcmgcdcenkpelffpdolg?hl=en !!! <3
