Custom Skies

I have absolutely no idea how to add custom skies to my texture packs and none of the guides I've looked up were very helpful and its pretty crucial to having a realistic representation of what im trying to accomplish. Please, send help. Thanks!

The clouds.png file is in "Your_texture_pack\assets\minecraft\textures\environment" The file have to be replaced by another grayscale image.
Remember to make the area with no clouds transparent
