Hello! I have been working alot on a new avatar feature that i hope people will use and enjoy. I know that there are alot of other services just like this one, but that is so.
I am introducing Fawdaw Avatars!
A fast avatar service for minecraft websites and applications. The service have a really simple, yet advanced API that makes it easy to use.
For basic usage just provide a username:

A little bump
I also got a new host for my avatar service to it will load faster and are more stable when loading many avatars at the same time.

Cravatar's 3D function is written in python, and mine is written in php, so there will always be differences. Cravatar is recommended for 3D heads.
And your skin looks just fine for me?

Is there anyway I could see the source for 3D heads? A bit intreasted in how all the posistioning works.
All the avatar things on GitHub for PHP don't have 3D heads.

Or use http://cravatar.eu/ and http://mcskinsearch.com/ and you'll have results that actually work with 1.8.

I changed my skin for christmas, and it still looks like it normally does here.
I don't mind, I wanted my normal skin's head anyway, but how exactly did you get the skin that I am not currently using?

I found the problem here
There have probably been a skin update since 1.8 came out, and mine still uses the old system. The old official skin link was http://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftSkins/Patchpen.png, but as you can see it gives you the old skin. I will re-write the code with the new system today

My service make a cache of your avatar for 24 hours to make the avatars load faster. Since you viewed your skin today it will serve the cached version until the cache expire.

Thanks. Until today, I've kinda been to lazy to bother fixing my avatar, but you reminded me to do it and gave me a simple enough method...
