Hello guys
So I"m trying to spawn an Enderdragon as you can do in survival (using some ender crystals) but this time using command to place the crystals.
The ender crystals was successfully summoned. The respawning however failed.
So can anyone tell me why
Thank you

yes i used /summon ender_crystal [X] [Y] [Z] and it works but the ender dragon didn't spawn. But i think faking it is a good option

A player likely has to place the crystals (or at least the last one). I don't think /setblock triggers a block update, and the game is probably listening for one.
Maybe you could fake the respawn event by placing the crystals, destroying them, and using /summon to spawn the dragon? You'd also have to fake the beams as well as the reparation of the pillars, but it's not impossible.
