A new Call of Duty game has dropped, this year we are playing Ghosts, a massive expansion compared to other years.
This thread is basically about your thoughts on the game, how you feel about the game and what you think should be improved and such. Remember follow the rules.
I've played about an hour so far and have thoroughly enjoyed the multiplayer, the map design is excellent with a lot of levels in most maps, although what it does let down in is size, it does not have a big area, but lots of height. I like the height element better though, it allows a fairer play for most weapons. I feel the weapons are well balanced and I haven't felt like I can't win a gun fight with any of the weapons so far.
I like the idea of not having to be a certain level, because that was the one thing that annoyed me in previous CoD games. But I have yet to play Extinction and the campaign, I'll update you guys on those two aspects.

A lot of people have differing opinions, I suggest looking at videos on Youtube, but games like CoD are okay with friends, something like Borderlands would be a much better choice to play with friends, but if you like competing with them, a game like ghosts would be the way to go about it.

I have found that if you aren't quick in Squads, then you are going to fail miserably.

So you saw this video too, I see nothing bad with what they did, most games do this especially if it is a sequel or something.

Also extinction mode is a reskin of zombies.
If I had a basic knowledge of game programming even skills in making a flash game I could make something about 1000x better than cod

The hour it came out officially in San Diego (I live there now) I bought it. It's really fun. It has a very luring campaign too.

I've had absolutely no issues besides when it first launched, it took a while to load up. It is likely an issue with your hardware.

I am not sure why it is doing so, if you have not updated your Nvidia drivers then that may be the issue. If not, I have no idea, I suggest checking the Steam Forums and Ghosts support.

Graphics on CoD Ghosts are absolutely horrible. Nobody can even argue with that, textures are ugly, everything looks so bland and flat. I've only seen reviews from TotalBiscuit and Frankie1080p but gunplay and weapons are pretty much the same. Never understood why they have such stupid weapon names like the HoneyBadger, Striker, etc.
The new maps at least took out that 3 lane system they've been using for years. Every single map used this, and it made it boring as hell to play.
Destruction is bad (obviously) even though that guy who looks like a hamster (forgot the name) said they wanted cinematic destruction.
Campaign is probably good, they usually are with Ghosts.
Not gonna buy the game until huge Steam Sale (which will probably be Christmas).

Yes, I couldn't agree anymore! I bought the game and the game play was absolutely horrible! The graphics and textures were just completely horrible!

CoD hasn't changed much AT ALL since WaW. And the only reason WaW was different was because it started the zombies thing. The graphics have changed so little, i can't tell the difference. They have used the same engine since MW1. This franchise is the most overrated game in EXISTENCE. The game is repetitive. Ghosts was the first change CoD has had other then maps and weapons since WaW. Thats pretty sad. Thats really sad. They might as well just had an add-on pack onto MW1 every year. The game has the absolute WORST community to ever exist, composed mainly of tryhards, ragers, no lifes, cussing 9 year olds who have "done your mom", campers, hackers, and swaggies. It is absolute hell to surround yourself by CoD players. Let me show you: lets compare CoD to its arch-nemesis, halo. (IM NOT A HALO FANBOY, I DONT EVEN PLAY IT.)

It didn't deserve all the hype in the world, but CoD stole the spotlight because their fan base called it a copy (not knowing halo was released 2 years before CoD) of CoD and proceed to call it "gay" Halo is like a fancy restaurant, and CoD is like McDonalds. fancy restaurants take lots of time to prepare your food, and make sure you enjoy your meal to the fullest. McDonalds doesn't care. In haste they sloppily put together the same slop they've been serving for years, and they continue to do this because they know their consumers are to stupid to know what they put in the food. Of course CoD Ghosts finally changed the franchise. But not that much. We will probably be getting Ghosts clones using same engine and graphics for the next 7 years like they did with MW1.

Actually they take just under 2 years to develop and you have to remember they have 2 different teams/companies making the games which are Activision and Treyark. They make the games quite differently, I personally like Treyark more for the feel and graphics however the new Call of Duty Ghosts game has a better feeling almost like Battlefield, it's heavier and people can take more damage. This time though, with the damage, I think they got it right people don't die from 1 or 2 bullets so much any more it tends to be around 4 bullets to the chest which changes the way that COD plays so much as it allows people that use any kind of weapon to step up and win a close encounter.
With all of that said, I think Battlefield 4 will stomp over Call of Duty soon without issue, let's just hope that when Treyark release a new COD they will completely change up everything.

The trailers actually made it look so good I actually wanted it (I hate CoD, so this is a big accomplishment) but when I actually went and watched a video review of the multiplayer by FrankieonPCin1080p, I discovered that, as always, the multiplayer was the same as in the last six games. This is why I prefer Battlefield 4 over Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Does ghosts have actual drive able vehicles in multi-player? I really feel that vehicles is something COD has been needing for years. Thats why I consider COD 3 the last great COD multi player because it added a whole more variety in game play instead of today's "run 'n shoot".

They've made countless minor improvements, as does every other series, but it's still the same game in my opinion. I won't get it because I'll be playing Battlefield 4

I enjoy Battlefield at times (not a lot because all it is, is me constantly dying because the maps are way to big for beginners to learn good routes compared to other games like CoD, Halo, TF2, etc.) but, its the same as Battlefield 3, with some slightly better graphics, a different ui and new maps. People look at Battlefield 4 and are like "Great new game" when it is just new maps weapons and ui, where people are like "More CoD? It is the same stuff every time".
But I reckon it'll be hard for some to choose between the two, I would have got Battlefield 4 but I don't have the money, and I don't have my 760 yet.

I've been very uneasy about getting Ghosts for the simple reason that it's gotten kinda stale for me. i didnt bother buying either of the BO games. would anyone go as far as saying that this game is groundbreaking? or basicly another reworked COD?

Cod Ghosts looks awesome - but extinction mode seems slightly cheesy. Personally I think they should've stuck with survival on MW3. Other than that though - I'll definitely get the game [probably on PS3 and then pay £10 to upgrade it to PS4].

Extinction: I'm not even gonna go there.... It's horrible.....
Multiplayer: Bit slow paced (I enjoyed the fast-paced MW3 maps) but you can tell alot more effort has been put into the maps. Quickscoping & camping is also nearly impossible. Sadly, UAV's are gone and the game is almost unplayable because the MSBS is super OP.
Campaign: COD will always have the best campaign in my opinion. I always have a ton of fun with the campaign. Hell, that's the only reason I bought the game.

Got ghost yesterday! When it came out, played multiplayer for about an hour. Gamemodes I played were cranked loved it, domination, campers, infected, ok. The gun balance so far is ok, the servers for ghost on Xbox are crap right now!

Meh, never played a Call of Duty game or any M rated/shooter game for that matter. Too afraid to do so because I heard you can get addicted easily. =P

You can get addicted to anything. I have been addicted to eating cereal, I have been addicted to dotA, you can get addicted to anything, playing in moderation and having patience for playing the game is key. I want to play more CoD, dotA and other games now, but I know I have to be studying, so I am holding back.

Haven't got the game yet, will get it in 2-3 weeks. From watching Whiteboys streams it looks pretty cool, I'm playing BO2 and excited for Ghosts
