Hello guys. Could anyone tell me if this computer is good for playing games? So it has:
Processor: 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB

Also when I get a new computer what would you recommend if I had around $1000 dollars budget. I would like it not to be really big or heavy, laptop. I mostly want it to make nice Minecraft videos and games.

Thanks you all for your time!

You're computer can play almost high-end games, but i recommend to you a processor that 3.0ghz or higher, 1 GB Video Card or higher, a 8 GB RAM or higher, Recommend on minecraft add some SSD to make it faster

Heeeey, it's not TERRIBLE for gaming, just you wouldn't be able to run most high-end games. My laptop is basically the same, it just can't run anything like Skyrim or Dear Esther since the processor really sucks -_- (I have 1.8 duel core) but for games like Minecraft or similar, you'd be able to handle them well.

those specs are not that great here is a rather okay setup for your budget, little over it but shopping around and putting it together yourself can be better off

Average Cost $1000 AUD | Average CPU Mark: 9179 (this is okay for its price)
- CPU/Processor AMD AM3 FX-8320 Black Edition (Eight -Core 3.5GHz/Turbo Core up to 4.00 GHz/8MB)
- MotherBoard AMD AM3 Gigabyte [GA-970A-D3] (rev. 1.0)
- Desktop DDR3 Ram 16GB Kit (2x8GB) PC3-12800 1600MHz G.Skill NT [F3-1600C11D-16GNT]
- Video Card (ATI) PCI-e 7750 OC 2GB Gigabyte [GV-R775OC-2GI] (GDDR3)
- HDD Internal 3.5" 1TB SATA3 7200rpm Seagate [ST1000DM003]
- Blu-Ray Combo-internal LG [CH12LS28] (Retail) Black
- Full Tower (Without PSU) CM Storm Trooper [SGC-5000-KWN1] (window) Black (optional any cast that is large will do)
- Power Supply 850W (Modular) ENERMAX [EN-ENM850EWT]

850w is really overkill for those specs.

It's an ASUS A53SD.
You might find it on Amazon or New egg, but of you can't a lot of good ASUS laptops (without Windows 8) are built to handle games as well.

$900 for a dual 2.4ghz processor, and a 256mb video card?
My whole gaming desktop setup cost less than that.

There's a really good laptop my sister has, it's an ASUS around $600 that handles games pretty well. If you're interested, I'll get the serial code for you.

Well I am playing Minecraft on my pc which has 2.5 gb of DDR1, a 2.2ghz dual core athlon x2 and a 1gb geforce 9800gt. I run minecraft just fine using Optifine and I record and render videos all day without problems. (Warning if you have this set up and you want to render hd videos, DO NOT TRY AND MULTI-TASK) I think I paid a grand total of $60 for this thing. But I am dropping $250 to upgrade since my pc won't be able to handle next gen games.

ddr1... wow ancient lol

i personally would spend $1000 on a PC over a laptop unless you are always moving around your house or go and game at a friends house a lot, some of the specs above from other posters are good for what you need, also if your heart is set on a laptop a Dell or HP with at least 4gb ram (8 is better) and an i5 or i7 processor would do what you need

minecraft is a game that relies more on ram and processing power than graphic power of a pc

Those are the worst specs EVER for playing games. I recommend Intel i5 or higher, and at LEAST 8GB's of RAM

In reality you will get the best gaming experience on a desktop.
I would recommend these two systems for your budget:
Intel Option:
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570k Quad Core 3.4GHz CPU
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z77-UD3H Motherboard
RAM: 8GB Kingston, Corsair, or Crucial RAM
GPU: Either a GTX 660 or Radeon 7850 (I have 7850, love it)
HDD: 60GB Intel SSD
HDD2: 500GB or 1TB Western Digital Drive
Power Supply 650W or greater

AMD Option:
CPU: AMD FX-8320 Eight Core
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 Mobo
RAM: 8GB Kingston, Corsair, or Crucial RAM
GPU: Either a GTX 660 or Radeon 7850 (I have 7850, love it)
HDD: Intel SSDs are good, but Samsungs are good too
HDD2: 500GB or 1TB Western Digital Drive
PSU: 650W or Greater

I would suggest a HP laptop. From my experience they are great laptops, despite the overheating. It can be prevented if you vent it properly though.

Well. I work a bit with graphic cards, and sorry to say, but you won't be able to play many games with a 256 mb card these days. I would recommend a Radeon HD 6670+ for playing higher end games. You might want to acquire more RAM too, as 2 gb is more of the minimum requirements. A much better processer would be an i5 3570k.
