Lenovo Z50 would be a good option for you, as it is within your budget

AMD A10-7300 Quad-Core 1.9 GHz Processor
8 GB DDR3 RAM
1 TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
15.6-Inch Screen

I'll never understand the "travel a lot" excuse for not having a desktop. It's not hard to carry around a smaller desktop to another place. And not even 1% will use their computer on the go either, as it'd die within minutes.

700 USD is too small for a laptop that is worth anything gaming wise. Best bet is to save up, or explain that you don't have to get a giant sized PC. You can get a PC case that is the size of a xbox one.

Well, I assume he back packs/uses a small bag when he travels, and he doesn't want a 10 pound pc case that takes up the whole bag, while sticking out of the bag.

In the end of the day the client wants what the client wants

If yoy acctually read my post you'll understand why he doesnt want/cannot have a laptop

Also alienware is out of the question, i refuse to suggest it to him and the budget is £500( $700) cannot go up any higher

If his range is too small for a good laptop I would recommend you ask him to consider the possibility of saving up a bit more.

Again, the Y-50 Lenovo. Always a decent choice.

I would get a desktop, if you are looking for a portable gaming laptop I would go with "Lenovo". I've used them and they work great. I had a Y50 model.

I'll vouch for ya on this one. I have a friend that has one, it runs most games at around medium settings.

I am sorry to be one of those guys but laptops are not good for gaming, even less you will find a decent one that won't burn your table while playing games at decent fps...

I've also been looking for a laptop/desktop. If you are trying to find a good laptop I would probably check out Alienware laptops or Asus laptops.
