I'm confused here. For your CPU, you chose an i5-4430, which is not overclockable - however, with your motherboard, you chose a z97, which has options for overclocking. I would save a few pounds and go the H97 route, rather than spend more and get an unlocked computer (at least until you're more experienced with building them). I don't know too much about your RAM, but I did hear A-Data didn't have the best products for RAM. Besides, you can find cheaper RAM anyways.

I tweaked your build, and this is what a nice non-overclockable build would look like
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4570 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor (£137.99 @ Aria PC)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H97M-HD3 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£62.01 @ Ebuyer)
Memory: Patriot Signature 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£52.98 @ Ebuyer)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£36.00 @ Aria PC)
Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 270X 2GB Double Dissipation Video Card (£125.12 @ Scan.co.uk)
Case: Corsair SPEC-01 RED ATX Mid Tower Case (£37.99 @ Scan.co.uk)
Power Supply: Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (£35.82 @ Amazon UK)
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer (£11.32 @ CCL Computers)
Total: £499.23
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Now, if you did want to overclock, I put together another build catered to that sort of thing. It's a bit higher than your budget, but it does allow for you to overclock. I didn't want to bring the graphics card back down to a 270, because the difference in price between the one you had and the 270x I put in wasn't very big.
Here's the build

What is this computer going to be used for?
List what you will be doing with your computer.
What is your budget?
Include amount and currency.
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter?
Your country lets us know what sites you can order from. If you have a nearby Microcenter they have some great in-store only deals that you can take advantage of.
What is included in the budget?
Things like the tower, the OS, peripherals and monitors.
Will you be overclocking?
Overclocking will require different hardware than a non-overclocking build so we need to know this.
Will you be reusing any parts?
If you are reusing parts list them here.
What OS do you want?
Say which OS you want or say if you already have a copy of one.
Any specific case preferences?
Size, color, etc.
Any other special features that you want in the build?
Stuff like an SSD, large hard drive, RAID, and wifi
