Laptop/PC Build for School and Gaming
Hey PMC, I have a request.
Due to my laziness and unwillingness to spend effort, I'll cut to the chase.
I need a new computer, specifically a laptop, for gaming as well as school, It should be able to minimally run Minecraft on high settings smoothly and without complicaitons, as well as being able to fulfill the day-to-day expected schoolwork.
What is this computer going to be used for?
Classes, School, Relatively Intensive Gaming
List what you will be doing with your computer.
Schoolwork, Programming, Comp Sci, Be able to run Minecraft smoothly as well as other games such as Skyrim or Bloodborne (somewhat resource-intensive games)
What is your budget?
Include amount and currency.
$1500, can deviate to around 2000
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter?
Your country lets us know what sites you can order from. If you have a nearby Microcenter they have some great in-store only deals that you can take advantage of.
U.S; N/A
What is included in the budget?
Things like the tower, the OS, peripherals and monitors.
Everything but accessories
Will you be overclocking?
Overclocking will require different hardware than a non-overclocking build so we need to know this.
Optional, typically no but can overclock
Will you be reusing any parts?
If you are reusing parts list them here.
No, complete scratch
What OS do you want?
Say which OS you want or say if you already have a copy of one.
Windows 7+
Any specific case preferences?
Size, color, etc.
Purpose over aesthetics
Any other special features that you want in the build?
Stuff like an SSD, large hard drive, RAID, and wifi
All the necessary plugs and outputs -- had trouble with laptops beforehand for not having the sufficient nodes and such.
Acceptable amount of RAM for games.
Though I have built a number of desktops in my time, I'm a complete amateur in laptop assembly. Both custom and prebuilts are wanted.
Please add sources to any claims to reduce mindless, spammy bickering of devoted supporters of certain modules and companies.
Must be powerful enough to perform multiple resource-straining tasks simultaneously.
Thanks for the help.

WTFshady
15.6", optical drive, 1080p
I'd recommend this one, it's comparable to a around a desktop GTX 760/770.

15.6", no optical drive, 4K, a BIT worse GPU than the ones mentioned before
Also, you can't build a laptop (well, you can, but unlike with PCs, it's not worth the effort. Parts are way harder to find and cost much more. It's also very hard to put everything together.)

The last ones gpu has slightly more gpu memory, and the ram is also more (and unneccesary but who cares), It has 4K screen, (Your a 4k gamer BEAST if you buy this)
